Spookeyridge is probably the worst Halloween map. It feels like a bad ICS map (like Erebus), but then when you actually check the credits, you realize that it's emporium slop made by a whole team of people (somehow). I've never seen anybody say a good word about Spookeyridge, and I get the assumption that most people immediately forget it after playing. At least ICS maps have an ironic appeal, but Spookeyridge doesn't even have that, it's peak soulless.

the big downside for the wrangler is its manual control, ironically enough.
something most take for granted about engineer is that the sentry's attention isnt your attention and you can still use your shotgun.. you can help it fend off a push, you can jump out and deal with corner peaking projectile classes, you can shoot the spy trying to sneak up behind you, you can repair shit while the sentry's firing.
while you're using the wrangler you cant do that. its focus becomes your focus.
if a corner peaker pops up you have to disable the sentry, giving the enemy a perfect opening to shoot you and get back to corner peaking. if a spy approaches you during a push, you either have to take the sentry's arttention off the push or hope that the push can be finished off before the spy can get there (if you even notice the spy while focused on the push, of course)

this is a really interesting take anon, I think the comics really helped spark the interest though. as in, without the comics, it will be just another game where 2 teams fight over who to blow up first. Knowing how that ends, TF2 would almost feel like the calm before the storm, before people realize whats going on.
