Are all the hardest battles in grand duels specifically made to use command seals or what.

I used King Hassan to defeat him and I still lost for the first time because of the 1 turn insta kill and the dot damage. He was unkillable and I cant wonder how someone could insta kill him eight times without dying by this mechanic.

Every final grand duel featured mechanics that absolutely destroy the player no matter what and he has to use command seals.

Its deconfirmed in the story itself

The reason Kotomine smiled during that line is because of her blasphemy, she didn't even realize her own lie because she was blind to it. She talked about the lord's will but in reality she was only talking her own will, because she hated humans, and she hated humans because of the warped summoning within the singularity that caused her to absorb all seven deadly sins. A singularity full of sin that caused metatron to grow corrupt. The one sin that metatron rejected was sloth, which became the good metatron. The trial was about them forcing metatron to realize her own bias that was causing her to not judge impartially.
In reality Kotomine was hiding facts from metatron about how humanity would reset, in order to cause the most mental damage by revealing it at just the right time. If you read Apocrypha, read not watched, you already know god doesn't hate mankind. Its pretty clear from Jeanne's flashback.
Magecraft angels are kinda distanced from "god" within FGO ironically. They are beings of magecraft, removed from actual legend. In other words they're basically just a name given power/form.
