Shadowrun: Hong Kong seems to have a lot that's conditional on how you handle things, but it would take me another playthrough to grasp how much is just slipping things past me with smart writing.
Though finding out it has slightly fewer words than the Lord of the Rings series was eye-opening. So there's certainly a lot that one doesn't see on a single playthrough.

I really liked both the shadowrun games and battletech, they should have stuck with tactical combat.

I'm in chapter 5 of Baldur's Gate with a level 5 party: Mage, Imoen, Jaheira, Khalid, Yeslick, and Coran (who's probably about to get the boot to replace with Ajantis)

That said, just really hit up the Sorcerous Sundries (right there on the west side of that entry sector of the city), the wizard in the tower in the woods, and the smith at Beregost. What equipment is better should be pretty apparent, and depends on your team and what you already have.

The only thing I can think of to be helpful is, did you bring an ankheg shell to the Beregost guy? If so, he'll first offer to buy it off you. If you refuse, he'll offer to make armor out of it for a price. It's good armor and worth the price.

When you choose voice personalities for your mercs they should come with generic comments that come with that voice personality, so that they still have things to say in camping scenes or in dialogues.

They wouldn't be that in depth compared to the normal game companions but it would make them feel more alive.

An example, sortof, is back when Star Trek Online let players make their own missions you could assign dialogue to officer roles and whoever played your mission would have their custom officers respond with the dialogue associated with their office.

I like Underrail but I recognise its weaknesses. The puzzles are aids, combat can sometimes be complete bullshit and psionic enemies are complete cancer. The vendor system is retarded and getting locked out of one of the best vendors because you didn't check the wiki on your first run is objectively shit game design. After seeing a screenshot of one of styg's puzzles in Infusion I've just decided to give the game a pass despite having several hundred hours in the first game.

You can actually do almost any kind of build and beat the game with it as long as you understand what you're doing. Also no build makes the game easy at every point. There's always a section of the game that hard counters you but it differs on what your build is.

Are you playing a heavy armor melee with a hammer? You can literally ignore robots. Electrospiders will tear your asshole open because metal is very conductive and you can't see shit in a face covering metal helmet.
Playing stealth sniper build? Robots will rape you if they catch you, but coil spiders are useless against you. There's about a million examples like this. You can do diplo, stealth, combat, crafting builds and mix and match them, and how effective you're at that is determined how good you are at minmaxing.
