why is genealogy the only FE game that made road tiles increase movement/have a lower movement cost at the cost of having -10 avoid/-1 defense during battles? I think thats a great idea and could help infantry keep up with calvary in a way that doesn't just bunp their base movement, and it can lead to interesting tactical decisions of either taking a route that makes your units more mobile at the cost of defense or a route thats slower but without a defense penalty

You're gonna need SOME primo fodder, probably. Assuming you already have Miracle ready to go, then the fight is gonna go:

If you have some way getting the extra 3 Pulses (or 2 if you PP him), then you're golden. If you have Laguz Friend 4, you're already good. If you have the Marth Engage, then you only 1-2 Pulses. If you're using other Infantry units, sub out their C for Infantry Pulse. You can consider using Special Spiral 3, which works with Miracle. There's a lot of options, we don't know what skills you have access to.

I love SoV, I literally went the whole way for all the medals including comfy powergrinding of Thabes to get all the Valentian Regalia. I still listen to stuff like Berkut's music themes or Twilight of the Gods on regular playlists. I even have some Cipher cards of them.
I can't fucking beat this with my SoV units. Most of them are extremely old units and my newest group is Emblem Celica, Summer Palla, and that's really it unless you count the unbuilt Jedah sitting in my barracks. I wouldn't really call the story bad so much as it is just simple. A lot of the most level-headed complaints I see about Engage's writing seem to agree on a common element: it didn't go into enough depth on one thing or another. That's its only real flaw, it's not deep. It had to be rewritten to get a lower age rating, so probably some good details got lost in that process, but we'll never know, though now we have the manga telling the story in a better way at least.

From a business perspective, it probably shouldn't have been released even if it was finished. Throwing the series reputation into the gutter, especially with casual gamers, wasn't worth the 1.6m sales. Heroes revenue also went down the drain, not solely due to Engage.
