Some of it is the game being broken and either bugging out and ruining accuracy or just bad hitreg.

Empire State Breakthrough is awful. The objective points are so terribly placed that there's like 9 flank routes to each one. You can literally be attacked from every single angle on them and you have barely anywhere to hide. And its like this for every segment.

tanks have positional damage models that also makes angling effective. at the most extreme angles you can reduce the damage from a tank shell by around 50%.

IFVs have significantly weaker frontal and side armor than MBTs and can be destroyed in fewer shots if hit there, but they take the same damage from the rear as MBTs.

APFSDS does 10% more damage than the regular multi-purpose HEAT shell. Against MBTs this does not affect any shot-to-kill breakpoints; it takes 5 shots from the front, 3 to the side, or 2 to the rear to kill an MBT. Against IFVs, it just barely lowers the shot-to-kill breakpoint by 1 shell from the front (4 -> 3) or from the side (3 -> 2), but only if they are not angled (even the slightest of angles) and not being repaired.

regardless of shell type used, IFV and MBTs can both be killed with 2 rear shots, as long as they are not at an extreme angle.

I cannot test the anti-infantry HEAT or the guided shells at the moment.

Personally, I don't currently think AP shells are worth using, even against IFVs since realistically they will be angled at least slightly in every engagement and/or be repairwhored so your breakpoints don't change at all. The added damage is minimal so it doesn't significantly offset the health regeneration from repairwhores. AP also overpens light vehicles and air vehicles so cannot kill them in one shell like the MP-HEAT can, and it has zero splash radius for infantry. The main benefit for taking them is for the increased projectile velocity. It's also currently bugged and sometimes does no damage to hit vehicles. Dedicating an entire ammo slot to it and taking the time to manually load back and forth between different round types is too much of a liability for the small increase in damage.

Here are some advice/guide from a good player.

>if you see your teammates dying in front lines then expect heavy fire and lot of enemies
