See, Firefist Gregor is best when he's an underdog succeeding, but he's succeeding because his weapon of choice apparently no-diffs second-gen kindreds? She's essential because Dark Flame converts Burn to multiplied Pride Damage at the end of the turn.
Of course, if the enemy is resistant to Pride, you are going to get halved results. But arguably better results than with no Dark Flame.
This is also why you should shard her E.G.O too if you plan to use her. Since MB creates a bullet loop that stops Outis from killing herself as she never reaches the Seventh Bullet upon well timed use.

You can throw water to fire. Water is inexpensive.
You can only stop a bullet with ballistic armor or bullet-resistant hi-tech clothing or some sci-fi fuck you suit from some Wing's tech.

For starters, if you bait a bloodfiend to fight on the outside when the forecast warns of rain, you are pretty much going to make them hit minus 45 SP and have a breakdown on the spot upon rain's start.
Same with them prioritizing the proliferance of spilled or available blood due to feeding instincts, it's super exploitable. But nearly everyone you see so far decides that Unga Bunga is a better solution since it's far less expensive due to human life being cheap as a resource in the City.

Firefist Gregor is the butterfly. His survival means one more fighter against the Bloodfiends and one hell of a determined one at that, that seeks no rewards aside perpetuating his vengeance. You can really just play at your own pace. The Heishou team is pretty complex, but if you don't want to you don't have to learn how it works. You can just hit winrate and be fine for most of the time.
With that said, I guess the heishou team (specially Hong's ID) can be separated into two things:
Doing rupture things, and doing the retreat shenanigans.
As you're a newbab and you mentioned that your other IDs where quite simple, let me first say this. All the Heishous and Hong's defense skills are clashable. You can clash with them as if they were another attack skill. Hong's specifically grants another heishou a buff when used. The buff makes the heishou do an S1 and the at turn end they leave the fight and go to the backline, letting another ID enter. Hong has a passive that makes an ID entering do an S1 before any other skill, or if they're a heishou or Jia ID an S3 instead, so if you want you can just do counters non stop with Hong and make everyone else come and go and get extra attacks for free (the downside is that an ID loses most of their buffs once they retreat, they don't get them if they come back)
The other complex part I guess is his S3. S3 sounds complicated but it's pretty simple. It's a 1 coiner. After you attack with it, a Heishou does an S3 against the same enemy, and then Hong does a combo attack with the Heishou and gets a buff depending on who he did a combo with (the buff's pretty minor for the most part). If for whatever reason the Heishou can't combo (i.e there are no Heishous in the field, or they're staggered, or something) he does another solo attack after the 1 coiner.
That's all I can think of a newbab wouldn't understand about Hongers. If you have any other question though feel free to ask
