Without considering 3 team AA you only need to have 4 limited supports. Most players who care about meta have at least 2 of (Robin-Tribbie-Ruan mei-Sunday-SW).
Many current dps and likely many future would like a specific specialized support (ie cerydra for phainon). Unless you play sustainless you can field 4 supports in normal endgames and 6 in anomaly. Assuming you are rolling the paired supports for future dps, cyrene doesn't have a slot to sit in and her ability to move tribbie isn't worth anything.
It's likely 4.x will have supports valuable enough so that tribbie doesn't need to be moved in the first place.

Then it was superbreak that made break mechanic permanently redundant outside of 2 units (fugue and hmc), break is beyond repair now too, it's stat doesn't mean anything and mechanics of break fully rely on special enemy abilites and self debuffs.

Acheron broke overworld and debuffs, now they have to be balanced around her for a few years.

Going for a single sustain meta broke shields, now shields are sustainless+ and either make you immortal or inevitably lose. Game was initially designed around healer + fighting second sustain with attacks a little bit of protective utility (pmc, m7)

Hyacine, Castorice etc broke sustain as a thing, making you fully immortal. Even when being hit by swarog instakill attack, which is by design made to be instakill because you've fucked up

SP economy is nonexistent
