I’ve shared a few cheesecake variations in the past, including my No-Bake Cheesecake, but getting a perfected classic version took lots of testing. Finally, here we are.

Oh, and we are skipping the water bath! I’ve always found them to be largely unnecessary with cheesecakes. Cook yours on a low temperature and follow my tips below and you’ll have a perfectly creamy and crack-less cheesecake without all the hassle of a water bath.

Take it easy on the eggs

Be sure to pause after each addition and scrape down the sides and bottom of your mixing bowl.

Don’t open the oven!
I know how tempting it can be to want to check on your perfect, beautiful cheesecake, but wait until it’s finished baking (or close to it) before opening the oven door! Yes, you will have to test for doneness at some point and there’s a real possibility it will need more time in the oven, but minimize opening the oven as much as possible.

Opening the oven door can drastically reduce the temperature of your oven, which will slow the baking process and might cause your cheesecake to sink or crack.

Free your crust!
Once your cheesecake is done baking, allow it to cool for 10 minutes on top of the stove. Then, run a knife around the inside of the springform pan to loosen the crust from the sides.

As your cheesecake cools, it may to shrink a bit. If the crust is stuck to the pan, your crust won’t give but your cheesecake will (leaving you with cracks). Free the crust from the sides so it can contract with your filling as needed.

The Con + EW is just because the talisman I run had con 3 and ew 2 on it along with a level in handicraft, so I decided to just chuck on a coil with the remaining con two to max that out and hucked in an evasion because I had a spare two slot I wasn’t sure what to do with. It’s mostly because even with max guard non perfect block sns blocks can eat a shit ton of stamina, especially when dealing with monsters like 9* Steve. Figured I’d like to either be able to more reliably dodge or block depending on what situation I wind up in. As for the sns I tend to alternate between using omega and just swapping to an artian of whatever element the monster I’m fighting is weakest against. Chances are I’ll likely drop it soon enough. you have perfect guard, backhop, and sliding swipe built into your moveset in addition to default rolling
if you know what you can perfect guard and learn to time it right you can probably remove some of the guard skills for more offensive ones
the rest of the time you can use your repositioning/evasive moves to just not be where you might get hit

iirc omega sns being pure raw makes it strictly weaker than any 3atk 2sharp artian even when not using an advantageous element matchup

I was running Rey gloves for a while because the built in EE and 2 three slots were an absolute godsend compared to other gloves options available. Might go back to them now that you mentioned it. As it currently stands I’ve been running 2 part lagi two part savage for multiplayer to see if I can benefit from both azure bolt and resonance 1 while also saving on slots with the armor pieces I use mostly having baked in wex. Guess I’ll get back to the tweaking that once I return home. I suppose the question now is similar to what kicked this whole shebang off: do I go all in on crit boost/minds eye or should I go CB 3, ME 3? I’m keeping the guard up since it’s one of those things I just enjoy having.

ME is a very matchup and positioning dependent skill and if you're going to use it at all don't do it on a set that has WEX
you rarely get more damage hitting a ME zone than going for ones where WEX could proc
i think this holds true even if you primarily get your affinity from other skills like LP

2p lagi is kinda meh if you're actually aiming for it. if you get it because those lagi pieces happen to be the best fit for your desired skills then it's "okay"
it only gives 15% affinity and at max it's only active 40% of the time
the average dps gain on the damage procs is hilariously low too
