-New Costumes: Vampire Loli Sonya (21D, Oct 30th) & Ahegao Ghost Granhildr (Oct 23rd). Sonya inflicts a new debuff on enemies ("Nightmare") that increases the damage taken by per hit. Ghost Gran is a follow-up to Idol that deals damage that scales with her current Energy Guard value.
-Neon Angelica Fated Guest. Do a little puzzle game in her Neon mode to trigger Stage 2.
-No new minigame. Instead Slap Slap Pop (summer) will be made permanently available.
-Next Raids: Dark>Light FH, Fire GR.

-Highest cleared level no longer drops by -2 between seasons.
-Wildcard costume (5th costume you choose at the start is now an owned costume of choice)
-New floor on Lv10 Difficulty: F31. Do as much damage as you can to a scarecrow mob (to help improve ranking).
-Can now retry after a defeat instead of being kicked out of the tower.

-Will be focused on Physical characters & have a new Limited costume.
-Besides a new event pack, 2.5 also comes with two new content packs/systems: Golden Colosseum (1 action/turn tactical PvP Mode) & Lifeskilling.
-Golden Colosseum is not real-time PvP (not possible), instead it's like MW.
-Eclipse Fated Guest: You won't have to wait long, you will see her very soon (still this year).
-Phys vs Magic Balance: They acknowledged that the current meta has heavily shifted towards Physical. They will improve the Physical vs Magic balance during 2.5anni.
-However, the majority of 2.5anni units were already designed to be Physical. So new Mage units and greater efforts to truly fix Magic will truly start with January '26. The 1st half of 2026 will be all about Magic.
-2.5anni event pack will be followed by a new Character Pack in January.
-Onsen Blade will be Blade's 3rd costume.

-2026 is all about Char and Event Packs. There will be more of these than Story Packs next year.
-Next Char.Pack is January 2026, followed by another in early 2026.
-SP20 is early 2026, likely with the SP1-14 rewrite. Again, the flow of previous story/your memories will be preserved, but they want to improve story logic/immersion (by eg adding new animations/cutscenes or explaining Misha backstory better for more impact as was mentioned previously)
-The next NEW character to get a Fated Guest will be Olivier.

-Origami is really into FACIAL EXPRESSIONS these days (concept behind new Gran and Ange Glupy).
-Prestige Skins: They were thinking about selling prestige skins without interactions directly, at a lower price (so just the L2D+Cutscene). But they say players love the Prestige skins exactly because of the interactions, so they abandoned the idea.
-Tyr and Darian are strong so that they don't feel pressured to add a second costume for them as quickly.
-Base Sonya's Cutscene was less well received, but the level of expression had to be toned down due to her age. They hope to make up for this with her Halloween cutscene.
-They considered pity URIV crafting (guaranteed URIV after xx crafts), but this was cancelled since gear crafting is THE endgame loop. Likewise they considered pity for refining, but a R24 refinement would be 16mil powders pity. So there won't be pity for these.
-They don't want to simplify all chores, since it is the area that sets players apart.

So while they still want to keep Eleanor where she is, they really like the idea of doing a Prestige Skin or maybe Fated Guest for her. -Character Monologue system (inner thoughts)
-More repeatable content.
-Puzzle Style PvE mode: Fixed set of chars+enemies and you have to figure out a strategy to win (very similar to Normal mode char packs).

I don't think that's true for Olivier or Nebris.
Nebris was the first planned character with multiple costumes, her first 2 costumes were very mid and only the third one was the one that made her cycle properly. She was pretty popular since her summer costume iirc.
You could say Michaela is popular too by that logic, since she received the same treatment, except she had to be magic, therefore shit.
Venaka also got her first costume at the same time as Nebris did, and got her second costume when Nebris got her third.
As for Olivier, people asked about her every stream, and I genuinely think they fucked it up bad and not because she is favorite, they wanted to cram in her costumes, because she is fucking dead and all her costumes happen in one pack.

If you're new, get Schera's Alchemy maxed out and either Layla or Fred for crafting. You'll need these to be able to craft UR gear. Lathel/Zenith/Jayden for their overworld search and Liberta and Celia to suck up all the materials. UR crafting is a bitch. Odds are supposed to be something like 1 in 20 crafts are UR IV. As an old player, I can 100% confirm this is bullshit and the odds are far worse.

I'm enjoying it. It's partly like an auto battler. Characters have equipable items, and during fights, you get a roulette which decides what you start each fight off with. There's waves of fights and after every wave, you gain coins, you use to purchase characters/upgrades/or cards which affect stats. It's very indepth. I was put off by the visual style of it, but I'm glad I downloaded it. It's very good. The story seems quite light hearted at the moment too. I'm not entirely sure, but I think every character is voiced. Even the low tier ones.
