The other Doc trying to decide who to pick made me have a look at the shop as well. With a selection this large it's probably best to just wait until I get spooked some more and then filling gaps in case it's needed.
My lack of snipers has been filled nicely with this event and the only niche that's somewhat lacking are casters. But I don't think it's that pressing of an issue. And there's the gold cert option too.

s1's +96% atk and if they stack +12 aspd. you can relay the buff through a bard to turn it AoE. He lasts longer than warfarin and doesn't def/hp check ops like aak does and you have more control.
s2 lets you sp charge even stuff that isn't atk recovery
s3 gives him 2 artillery crabs that fire every 5 hits including DoT. They give the op behind them 20% physical damage or 36% if you use both on the same op. They let mushas and reapers heal, they let blemi'd ops charge their def recovery skills if they have range. They let chain and expanded aoe ops attack outside their range. You can chain crabs to essentially attack almost anywhere on the map. And ofc it lets atk recovery ops charge up their skills.
Most of the time he can hold on at the lanes, but worse case you can buffbot with him and just toss him on a safe tile.

Reedalt's really good arts damage, healing, and arts fragility.

Between casters I'd probably go with Logos unless you have Virtuosa standing by for someone to be her dedicated necrosis buddy, and even then I feel Logos can pretty serviceable take that spot but also stand strong alone in more general positions.

It's not like he's bad, but he does expect you to either bring someone to support him, or vice versa.
S2 is some of the most accessible SP feeding in the game, S1 is iirc the single highest given ATK % buff, both at the cost of needing space to place the devices.
He can use his own devices to some extent, with S1 letting him hit surprisingly hard, and the inherent ability of artificers to repair his turrets.

Just going by my gut feeling I'd pick Ascalon despite talking about needing a caster, but she will be in the cert shop. I can remember that much. The way she clears and slows large groups of weak eniemis appeals to me too. And she's cool. Big plus when deciding anything.

I'd say I'd wanna see your guardians first, but honestly if you have Eyja's other form for remote healing postitions and otherwise such a solid lineup(particularly Shu), you really could go either way if you're leaning between Saria and SilverAsh.
I assume you don't want Mountain since he's a huge jacked furry man? I'll remark SilverAsh is a man if that affects your decision, bit of a schemer, but generally good intentions. I'll skip giving a summary of Mountain since I assume his kit isn't the source of your reluctance.
Saria is a guardian, ie the healing defenders, who gives SP when healing, has a talent that reinforces her as she spends time deployed, and is often said to be a solid M9 pick. She has no bad skills. You do however have Shu who can in many spots replace Saria.
SilverAsh on the other hand is a lord, who is a more varied class and not as easily swapped between. You wouldn't use SA and Thorns the same way, despite both being 6-star lords. He has an S2 that makes him a more standard guard with smaller range and much more durable, and an S3 that target many enemies, increases his ATK by a lot and makes him one of the most brittle 6-star guards in the game for the duration. Since you have her, I'd also say his S3 can make great use of Exu2's S3 redeployment, since it deploys with 75/90 SP.
I'd say between them SA is the better pick, judging by your other 6-stars.

I like the Sankta events, the Sui events.
The Ark was fun, but I'm like 3 events behind since I lapsed on MSQ so I didn't read them.
Kjerag events suck but I like looking at Degenbreachers tits.
Siracusa is fun and I like it, but not actually good if that makes sense. Too much wasted potential.
I don't like Kazimerz, though I do like Fartooth.
I like the Rhine events EXCEPT when Saria is directly on screen. Lone Trail was a lot of fun despite her. Mansfield Break was kino, though I wish they cut Saria from the event and didn't have Mountain and Jesselton job for her. Robin and Kafka I adore.
Aegir sucks because the only good character the Aegir have is Gladiia and Ulpenis. I DESPISE Skadi and Specter.
Lethanien was great, though I skipped most of ToW and I hate that Mudrock is a dainty whore and not a cool badass like Bob.
I skipped the story in the second Reed event, I hated every character except Puzzle from the first one.
All the Dossoles events bore me, but I like looking at Schwarz. Gavial event was okay but I'm sad about them wasting Utage and you niggers here only liking her tits and nothing more.
