This is the way although if he wants a good close quarters lmg I highly recommend the first one you unlock for the lmg weapon assignments. That thing is real sweet if you want to run around like a maniac and full auto. Every other omg I like to set up from farther out and tap away. Throw a double break on one and one of the grips that doesn’t hurt aim down sight accuracy and an acog and you have a very effective weapon. Bipods can be good for the hip fire bonus on the first one I mentioned I like the grip pods in that case

Turns out I'm not actually shit at this game and I was being gaslit into thinking I was. I've been playing lobbies half filled with bots. When I'm shooting a bot I'm a literal god hitting all my shots even at long range when they're on the move.
When I'm shooting at a real player I can instantly fucking tell. Hell even if they are running in a straight line right at me I'm missing what seems like half my rounds.
It's just funny seeing 4 bots jump out a jeep and I'm able to mow them all down with ease, but shooting that one real player standing behind a tank repairing becomes a dice roll.
Why I allowed myself to be gaslit by people on 4chan of all fucking places is beyond me.

They're unlocked through challenges. Challenges > assignments > class. They're typically the second tier of the challenge. The training paths are meant to compliment a certain playstyle of that class by changing the class traits that you get while playing.
>Assault
Both training paths fit the same role for the most part. The default path is good if you like throwing grenades and explosives as the assault class. The seconds main thing it gives you is you heal faster. So taking cover after getting shot, you heal a lot faster. The other parts of the training path are probably more mediocre. Honestly the default one for assault is probably better overall. Faster ADS speed + grenades stuff is pretty useful for most engagements.
>Engineer
Pretty cut and dry. Default one is great for anti vehicle. Unlocked one is great for driving vehicles.
>Support
First training path is great if you like to heal/revive. The unlocked training path is great if you like to mount a LMG on cover and just lay down fire on enemies/camp.
>Recon
Again, pretty cut and dry. Default one is great if you like sniping. Unlocked one is if you like to be "sneaky" and "spec ops" type of play.

Problem right now is some of the challenges are absolutely horrible. I would not be surprised if we see them changed next week or the 28th. Most people are farming them on bots in portal servers.
