Yeah, having Zhao be my main motivator for this game from the start did help me have a more focused and enjoyable ZZZ experience overall. Before this, I was casually playing Star Rail and having a pretty decent time, but not having a true favorite character in the roster to look forward to rolling did make me less invested in the experience. It's a lot easier to power through any slogs or low points in the story/gameplay when there's a character you're just dying to have after all your efforts.

I like a lot of the things both ZZZ and Star Rail have to offer, but the gameplay of ZZZ and the inclusion of Zhao have made it a game I'm logging into every day now while Star Rail I might only boot up once every two weeks at this point, lol. Sorry Pom-Pom, I still think about you...

I don't think team synergy in 1.0 and the early patches was as well defined as it is now. You kind of expect agents in the same team to be their bis now but before they were all different classes and types. I didn't mind it, but the new method is certainly more thematic. By the time sanby came out though they had shifted their design focus to what it is now. Hopefully they planned ahead enough to make sure snaby works with their other S rank cunning hare versions.

A big part of Manato's story was him already knowing who his Drowned Ideal was and his fight was simply the last bit of closure to move on from his past. He had already mostly come to terms with what happened to him and how he wants to move forward.
