Honestly think it's time to move to /vmg/ at least until ss release date comes for global. This is just sad, I was at least a third of the posts in the last thread, we're staying alive by the constant bumps of 2 to 3 people. I'm honestly getting tired of it. We did our best but no one cares.

the problem of CS is the lack of timesink for newcuties, we only have dives as roguelike and its pretty much abandoned, there isn't any other modes, and even dives dont have multiple possible endings,see punishing gray raven have multiple roguelikes that have multiple endings, if CS had something similar i believe we would at least have more people staying out of autism alone

IS in Arknights gets things right that other roguelites don't:
You can't auto them.
Map variations that can change how the whole thing is played.
Recruitment randomization.
Without stuff like that to keep it fresh, you'd end up with the HSR roguelite, which devolved into a weekly chore once it became auto-able.
It's a shame though. CS's universe would lend itself well to something where the "story" was the Admin drafting teams across worldlines or sth.

It works because there's a wide and deep variety of recruitment. Other games that try just don't have that. Your team in Arknights is always going to end up being different in IS simply because you have to grab what you can get.

As others have pointed out, IS-style only works if there's a lot of gameplay depth to expand on. Most gachas are not that deep (like hoyoshit) so they just have rogueslop. I feel like Counterside gameplay is just too shallow for everyday play long term, which everyone seems to be noticing. There's little variety in pve fights outside of timing for the very hardest content, and the somewhat unique gimmicks are meant for pvp only (whale territory).

Honestly I'm down to just moving to /vmg/ for now and maybe try returning with Star Savior generals once it comes out. If only to stop the constant doomposting and offtopic posting that sustains us. We've given more than our fair share of love to Counterside over these years when the devs don't even bother anymore.

Holy moly, was hanging out with my brother. He wanted to show me something inside his computer and when he opened the case the glass panel shattered all over. No idea how he was just holding it in his hands and bam it exploded.
The crazy thing was for the next few minutes it was like it was alive. The glass shards were jumping around, it sounded like Pop Rocks the candy if you know what I mean. No idea what was going on, I'm guessing something to do with whatever the glass was coated with, maybe once it broke it was pulling back from the glass quickly. Spooky shit just little chunks of glass jumping an inch in the air. Wish could have shown you guys but by the time I thought to take a picture it had stopped.
Thankfully it happened over tile so it wasn't too bad to clean up.

It's called tempered glass, all cases with glass are made of that for safety reasons. It is susceptible to any puncture damage, so if you press it with anything with sharp edges it breaks easily. Ceramic breaks it instantly.

Seems like really shitty technology. My brother did nothing, he just unscrewed the sides while holding onto it. It slowly came off in his hands and he held onto it for a total of 2 seconds before it shattered all on its own.
