They fucking broke SnS in Wilds. Not only did they give it an insane block with zero required skills, it has a fast counter slash. Meanwhile, SnS in Sunbreak required Guard 5 + Embolden 3 to be usable and only changed into Perfect Rush, which meant that you couldn't spam guard slash and counter all day.

32.5 hours and 177 hunts (SnS only) into the game I am close to rounding out LR Village in GU. It’s very satisfying. After that I’ll start HR Village. I find myself running the Brachy SnS most of the time now after I found a +4 Attack Talisman so I’m not handicapped by the lack of a slot.

sleep is kinda weird because the optimal strategies are complete opposites and both require coordination

classic strat is to sleep bomb it with a big attack
technically mog of ages is now the best wakeup hit (unless you have environmentals lined up maybe) and it's available to every weapon if you remember to prime it
if anyone accidentally taps the monster after the "falling asleep" animation ends then this strat is wasted

the other strat is to just treat the "falling asleep" and "waking up" animations as damage windows since the monster doesn't fight back anyway
if someone misjudges the group and stops attacking then this strat is suboptimal as well

ideally everyone can keep attacking for about half of the "falling asleep" animation and everyone should be attacking during the "waking up" animation

some monsters have really long sleep animations
