Not a fan of the heist change. I think every league mechanic should have some sort of barrier to entry or 'opportunity cost'.

Betrayal has intel. Delve has 400 useless levels of depth. People who can't be bothered to run the green contracts and unlock/level their rogues can sit that league out.

As many have said; assigning rogues to a revealed BP would be an actual QoL change. Or NOT have duplicate rewards in the curio displays.... or rewards that shouldn't even be in a high level blueprint like old winged scarabs which no longer carry the same value they once did... or orbs of binding.

Or maybe some kind of quick exit button (provided the alarm hasn't triggered, obviously) that saves you from backtracking out when someone whispers for a trade?

Play a 10 minute game in a shooter, then do 10 minutes on an aim trainer. The aim trainer will feel like a chore, because it is. It's practice.
Challenging combat is great in games, but without the proper rest or change in flow it will just be tiring.
To make a successful arpg that has challenging combat, you'd probably have to get away from the formula. That is, "get through the acts", "clear these maps on repeat". Maybe getting to a zone you like and rotating between a few rare packs you are camping would be more in style. But there's always a draw back to different styles, and blowing up the screen with one click has always been fun, and will always be fun, probably something you fantasize about in every single genre. Is it too easy to do in poe? Probably. But I'm excited to do it again

The endgame content they have put in poo2 requires blowing up the screen - anything that doesn't won't make it.

Also a lot of people on forums seem to complain about bosses being in every map and being to hard in general- they don't want challenging, they want to be able to faceroll everything. And to be fair the bosses are better dealt with by nuking them as fast as possible rather than dealing with all their bullshit one-hit kill mechanics.

So forget the "meaningful" combat, and make the skills and builds that don't blow up the screen capable of it, because otherwise they might as well not exist.

I would just fullsend the chaos dot buffs if I were them, though. Just make Blight and Soulrend scale up to 70% more damage at level 30, ED + Cont 30% at 30, but give it a lower duration (Except Soulrend), longer cast time and higher mana cost.
You can't really scale them many ways, so making them a lot stronger but forcing you to solve for mana and cast speed would be a lot more interesting and balance them out even if they are strong.

word of advice, dont bother crafting slates if you are playing something unpopular and instead look for corners and fallen starlights. offmeta 1 leg mod starlights and 2 good mod corners are free and give you a lot of value. that + early progression uniques should be enough to get you to profound on t1 gear if youre playing an attack build. maybe throw in a few priceless items, they are like 50% more damage even if they are just t1 mods because ultimate mods are crazy
