I've tried to make level 5 warrior deck but its a bit of a mess and has some cards that doesn't really support each other.
>combat stars are strictly EARTH/LIGHT, with a LIGHT/DARK fusions (idaten being the main piece here that searches a level 5 warrior). They also have a random level 7 and 6.
>poker knights turbo 2 level 4s and a level 5 light but lock you to LIGHT warriors and everything is functionally unsearchable, they DO have a fusion from deck spell though (kinda) that can make the combat star fusion to search a card
>battleguard echoes is a good searcher but largely mediocre targets
>pyrite knight came out with battleguard echos and can SS itself from GY by bouncing a warrior of EARTH or...FIRE attribute for some bizarre reason instead of LIGHT so it doesn't mesh with combat or poker. In addition, you don't really have any cards that benefit from being bounced? I get that it sets up echoes other search/BoM effect but eeeehhhh

The pieces are there but there's just too many little gripes that don't allow the deck to function well. Too many things unsearchable, not enough payoff in the end. They don't have the tools to play second but all their endboard is just beaters.
Basically I think the deck is unplayable unless isolde comes back.

this is wrong, the turn played normally and i timed out normally, i didn't just sit around and do nothing, the issue is that i should've had 300 seconds, not 180 because it's in the rules for the tournament to have 300 secs in timer

One of the reasons why one for one handtraps feel so penis bad and people are so inclined to force a "boardbreaker" format is that the vast majority of one for one handtraps only trade for one effect, lose you out on one card in hand, and don't even remove the body (sans Ogre, which has the inverse problem of removing the body but not negating the effect), meaning they still natively extend with the body present which makes even Imperm for a card with multiple advantage effects feel bad. They usually only feel good when the effect in question is something like a +2 or +3, like how Ashing the Dracotail spells, Belle/Imperm on the Arthalion, Impulse (admittedly Impulse is far crazier given its more universal applications) on the Mitsurugi Ritual feels good.
By contrast, most endboard pieces that have negation will usually also remove the card in question, and also the steps getting there will naturally produce followup and recursion, unlike one for one handtraps which usually technically is a -1 into the wind. They also have far less narrower applications and conditions, think of how crazy Gamma is as a generic monster negate for anything

Many decks are already capable of searching all their monsters and activating all their OPT with a 5 cards hand. They're capped by the field limit and by OPT effects, a bigger opening hand wouldn't make their end board stronger.
The player going second would benefit the most from a bigger hand, as he would have access to more board breakers before having to commit to their starters.

Increase the speed of the game. We should measure modern Yugioh games based on the number of phases seen, rather than turns taken. Playing a deck that needs the main phase should be seen as playing packfiller. All interaction needs to happen in the draw and standby phase.

Here's my RDA genesys deck.
i'm not saying mine is better especially since i haven't played it in a torunament setting but it's clear we made some differing decisions while deck building and it's interesting to discuss.
i see you skipped red lotus, i don't really agree with that red reign single handedly wins games and he makes it so when all you have is a soul resonator you can at least make HRDAA + red reign.
i like what you're going for with minimal man but i feel like with ascator + red lotus i'm covered "secondary" extender wise, i don't like playing too many of those, 4 is good enough.
also i highly recommend void apocalypse.
unlike sweeper it gives you access to every fiend in your deck not just tuners. even if you fear crow you can just mill vision resonator and grab crimson gaia and do your combo from the hand instead of grave. but it also feels good to send bone archfiend then have him send it to revive himself. it's basically 2-3 more copies of all your starters/extenders and you don't feel that RDA problem of bricking on tuners as much
for handtraps i would pay the extra tax to play ghost belle, she's the cbtg of the format stopping all the rampant D.D. crows, and ghost belle + gamma makes it so your combos are a whole lot safer.
and my staple count makes it so my point total rounds out to exactly 100 which makes me feel like i'm doing something right.
