Nightmare 1 and 2 are easy but 3 and 4 do actually require a team comp. You need 2 focused on clearing hordes (the exploding and poison hordes cannot be allowed to exist for long) and 2 focused on clearing elites/bosses.

Red build is basically just Blade 2 electric boogaloo. Not great but extremely survivable jack of all trades.
Blue build aka BEYBLADE (grab the shift skill that lets you hold m1 to keep spinning after a portal) is -the- horde clear build. Just a massive fucking blender that is up for as long as you're alive.

Blue build is pure single-target DPS, you really want at least one of these

Blue build is easily the best jack-of-all-trades build. You just constantly cycle thor force projectile spam at an insane rate or else ult to stay safe while teammates respawn.

Nightmare IV is the biggest piece of rigged dog shit.

I swapped from my Diamond alt to my Grandmaster alt a few hours ago and the queue times on the Grandmaster alt are 40% shorter.
So there's actually less players queue up in lower ELO even though we have been at peak time for a couple hours.

My guess is the PVE mode isn't actually going to retain a lot of people by drawing them from the MMO skinnerbox slop to the core daily game. I'm also guessing that most of the extra people playing right now aren't new/returning and are mostly from the games already existing monthly audience

What does the game GENUINELY need to breathe some life into it and draw people back to competitive and playing daily????

If the whole team goes down at the same time you either were so shit against a regular wave that you were doomed to begin with or you failed a DPS check on a boss, in which case you could spend 20 tokens and still not clear the round.

You just spec into the left tree and take M1 auto attack cards. Ancestral sword damage, attack speed, attack range. Take damage reduc cards too. Gameplay is walk around the map and hold M1(Sometimes use dash to get out of exploding zombie suicide range) and collect free NM4 clear. You scale to a point that you can kill everything across the map regardless of distance instantly.

blade is literally the best way to do it, go all in on red cards and spins and have like 2-3 blue sacrifice sigil cards and make sure you have like 11k hp and purple damage mitigating cards to tank a shot from wanda to stop her from instakilling you
also have like 30+ revive coins just in case. don't waste any revives unless you get a good team that can get to wave since you can easily get to wave 20 without needing revives

Bit of both. Punisher's great but his main issue is that for the first 10-14 rounds in high difficulty he's pretty shit, so he's kinda being carried by his team until he can finally get his build going to delete single targets instantly.

nightmare 4 isn't hard it's just that nobody knows the optimal ways to build their characters since it's very trial and error heavy
