Cool Magnet Warrior support, Doom-Z support for when that gets more monsters to play with, Zaren is a cool boss, Assault Mode is a cool Synchro engine, Sheena is a cool WIND finisher, and I got surprise good support with First Penguin for a bunch of WATER decks and Daark is a nice Ogdoadic card so it was surprisingly alright for something I basically had 0 expectations for towards the end

Also I basically had 0 faith in further ANGU support like how they did CYAC-DUNE-AGOV so it is nice that First Penguin and Daark basically soft-confirm future support for Ursarctics and Ogdos, also First Penguin is just really good support for shit like Sharks and Ghoti, also First Penguin is general is a cool WATER-flavored Seventh Tachyon for a lot of cool decks/cards that could get potential support so I'm pretty happy all things considered.

That’s the thing. Springans just got these cards and now they will need Tuner monsters for its Springans Kitts (who can special summon) to use the new synchros.
The XYZ (an albaz target) for some reason is designed with the lock in mind to special summon “Springans Captain Sargas”, which heavily implies what kind of monster he’s supposed to be (This card is always treated as “Springans Captain Sargas”). Without spoiling it too early.

Anon, what XYZ are they going to leave on the board if they’re using Albaz (the card that locks away XYZs they want in their hand)? They’re better off sacrificing gung-ho/champion Sargas for Mirror-jade to free up the board.
Another issue with Sargas is that he is a very weak non-complimentary card to his own deck and the new goals (Albaz combos) that the Sprind dragon alone is a better off set up than Gung-ho (which will get ranked up to a Sargas that can’t detach his own materials ). Because he’s this non-complimentary low-low-rarity vanilla monster that provides not a single benefit till it’s the opponent’s turn.

You know how in August, they revealed cards from the structure deck (Albaz) and the main set (Burst protocol)?
I think the last bit of Albaz support would be revealed in November to be Springans-Swordsoul related. To further promote the synchro-fusion thing of Albaz and to have these older decks (Branded, Swordsoul, Springans) adapt to this new lock. As essentially, Chixiao becomes the only Swordsoul related option, making the Ecclesia Synchro and the new synchro they’re teasing have a full-reveal in November incredibly important for Swordsoul’s consistency.

The new albaz in general is great because he will never need a retrain or anything to adapt to other decks. Instead they have to adapt to him. Which means, they don’t have to design so many ridiculous cards for him as if he is this poor brick that couldn’t do anything most of the time (which brought about the infamous gifts Albaz given to the opponent.)

On a side note. The new Ecclesia synchro works a lot like MerryMaker, but way way way better. And you kinda make it the same way (two level 4s). It allows for the original playstyle of Springans and Swordsoul to sorta remain when the lock is in place.

Tearlament had the right idea, but the implementation was a bit rough. Discussion about power level aside, a big annoyance for a lot of people was just how tedious the games could feel.

Everyone has heard the statistics regarding how overwhelmingly strong going first is, letting both players play is one of the few ways to mitigate this. And it's why you're increasingly seeing archetypes ship with their own Havnis. Konami has clearly committed to Turn 0 being a thing going forward.

I doubt Springans would give a damn about XYZs anymore. The OG ones were always awful. And Tri-Brigade Springans Kitt revive is far more convenient for Synchro and Fusion monsters that don’t need to be restacked mid-turn

The new Albaz locks to level 8 synchros and fusions to treat them more like Rank 4 XYZs.
