Smaller maps and being near useless in sieges make cav unappealing even if you can handle the more intensive micro, which not everyone can, especially when there's other stuff to micro that can get more value like wizards. There's also the problem of 1 model getting stuck in whatever you charged causing the rest of the unit's AI to shit itself, which makes shock cav especially annoying to use.

They uh... Well they're a lot like bears. They are found pretty much everywhere (I mean in lore there's even trolls in Lustria, and the Sea), Throgg is the smartest after being blessed by the chaos gods (hence why he's allied to them), but they tend to work mostly with Greenskins.
In all honesty they have a similar disposition to Ogres, working with whoever can promise them the best food, however they're dumber than Ogres.

You know how winds of magic works in battle I assume? You have a total pool that trickles into a usuable pool for casting. What you have there is your max pool for that army on a per battle basis. It is at 100 winds of magic. If that bar was empty, you would only have a max pool of 20 winds for a battle. It is only a positive to have that full, especially as monogod races who get extra benefit from being above 80.
Various item skills and techs can raise the roof and floor of those values.

I'm glad the chorfs got it, they're my favorite faction but it's still a bummer. I wish I could get into which elves and sisters of slaughter more when I played druchii cuz the druchii are neat otherwise (Also shades needed more visual variety there's like 4-5 fucking shade units I swear) but they felt like an inelegant option.

Or well, sos did because they are the tankier ones - but it felt like anyone I fought would have ranged to butcher them except what, Khorne? With who elves I realized after watching the AI with Daemonettes that they would work well as more dexterous cavalry. It's the second greatest dwarf hold, even if it's in disrepair, it's got a very significant surface settlement presence which obviously helps with trade and diplomacy with the humans but also means K8P has some of the best pastures and farms in the Karaz Ankor, it's got immense quantities of silver in it's mines, and flat out it's just Belegar's home and of course he fucking wants it back.

Also there's some fucked up shit going on in the tombs because the skaven keep throwing warpstone in there for fun so you've got all kinds of gross mutants that disturb the tombs of the ancestors and the warpstone reanimates them as ghosts.

Just a little observation:
I have been play Rome 2: Rise of the Republic as Rome and I have found that my units seem pretty damn good.
Hastati don't exist and we have to make do with Roman Light Hoplite but they have higher armour and morale then our nearby enemies. Even before their prime, Romans are still more than pulling their weight.

Additional point: Hammer and anvil works really well in this campaign. Getting hundreds of kill on my Equites reminds me of the Attila days.
