Between Re:Digitize Decode and Next Order, which one has a more aesthetically varied world, and which one has better gameplay (or at least the deeper raising system in particular)?

decode's maps are kind of a downgrade from world 1 since they're mostly corridors.
on the other hand next order's feel oversized and empty. the mixture of technological elements and nature is more prevalent though (shit like capacitors stuck to the ground, abandoned servers)

I'd go with decode in that case. you have a move command (good to dodge close-range attacks), a block command that doesn't trivialize the game, mana burn to discourage turtling, and if you use close-range attacks you gotta know how to get your mon to hit the enemy. not to mention that the colosseum is 10 times better compared to next order's.
did I mention that decode lets you play the entire game co-op?
the one upside next order has is that having 2 partners lets you raise stats quickly from the 2nd gen onwards via lifespan desync. having 2 partner makes battles a tad more complex, but combat is very streamlined (you can block while guarding and vice-versa). and you have the dojo to block off undesirable evos too

and also, do check digital card battle. it's a unique fun little game.

Between Decode and N0, Decode definetly has more content. I would say N0 has a nicer world, but it also suffers because a lot of maps are big and feel a bit empty, meaning that you will have to cover a lot of space, while on a permanent timer. N0 does give a few more options in terms of raising (Tamer skills for example), but Decode has you only focus on one partner, with the game itself having some cool stuff to add (collosseum and DigiMemories allow you to partially reuse your old mon, from its previous life). Training is also a bit more interesting (minigames, vs just automatic sequence), though I guess its a matter of taste. I would say Decode is better, because it has a LOT of content.
In terms of CS vs TS, Cyber Sleuth, and especially HM has the better narrative, since TS kinda falls apart in its third act. Time Stranger has by far the better Digital World though. Combat wise, it depends. CS endgame will limit your options, having more individualistic mons that shine better, at the cost of potentially forcing to bench your faves, while TS allows everyone to be viable in the end game with some investment. The combat itself is fairly similiar.

Decided to try out Time Stranger, big fan of Digimon but haven't played any game since Digimon World: Dawn/Dusk. Having fun tho.

Not really. It has some flaws, and is still no Cyber Sleuth Complete (basically base CS and Hacker's Memory combined), but is still fun for a Digimon collecting game. Now all that's left is the DLC, but I hear with how poopsocked Bandai is in terms of DLC (even Super Robot Wars Y have a long time developing the DLC so far), we're not even getting it until next year. Maybe we'd get items or Agent skills to control the limit break so you can reliably access it during every hard battle. It could probably work using Cross Points, or a separate source that gathers at the same time (Digi Points?)

Wait, the sagacious study skill does nothing? I reloaded save with and without the skill, it says "X personality Digimon gain talent more easily" but they had the same level caps after evolving regardless of that skill.

I finished CS again after getting it on sale. Boy was it annoying to get used to after TS. But after finishing the game I really liked it more than TS. The music and story was so much better, I really liked how hard was actually hard. The last boss somehow had like 12 turns and just wreaked my team. The constant guest and lack of variety in boss type made TS very easy.
