No, it's nothing like Genshin. It's called anime Warframe because it quite literally is that. They ripped the movement, combat, stage structure straight out of Warframe. They even straight up copied some of the frames like Hydroid, Excalibur and Mesa.

Based on my CBT1 and CBT2 experiences, it's good enough. It's an objective downgrade on Warframe from a pure gameplay perspective so if you don't have an issue with DE and all the shit they've done to the game then you have little reason to play this game over that but if you're like me who hates DE and wanted a Warframe replacement, it's good enough.

There's a charon MC (horned human with magic powers) and a human MC.
The story starts off with the charon MC, you pick the gender, then once you finish the first story chapter you jump over to the human MC and once again pick the gender, you do that chapter and then you jump back to the charon MC.
It's kinda awkward because when you initially pick the charon's gender, the human MC appears in your dream as the opposite gender.
Also, it's pretty clear that the canon gender for the charon is female while the canon gender for the human is male.

I think it's DOA, the character models look like dogshit and such a massive downgrade from their splash art that it may as well be considered false advertisement. No wonder they removed the gacha, nobody would pull for their terrible looking characters (not just in model quality but in character design, they all look painfully uninspired and bland).

Lots of potential, but also lots to prove.
"The gacha game without a gacha" is a great marketing hook that's turned heads and got feet in the door. But simply removing the gacha doesn't make it a good game that's fun to play and invest tons of hours into. And the fact that they removed the gacha at all (and so soon before launch) raises a lot of questions that won't be answered until weeks or months into launch.

I'm absolutely going to give it a try and I really hope it works out because I'm desperate for something else like this to play. Cautiously optimistic I would say.

30 shards = 1 character so getting lucky on a gold is 1/3 of a full character done, although since this game has dupes its more like 1/21
assuming it doesn't take more than 10 mins to finish a commission which isn't too far fetched since this is catering to mobile, unless they do stamina (they said they won't) or timegate (still might happen) you can farm a full character a week pretty casually
which makes sense if they want to monetize skins, no one's gonna pay for a skin they can't use

As of right now I haven't been able to find any conclusive statements or info on the farming methods for these not being timegated. They have said there will be no stamina, but there was nothing about not having weekly entries and other potential timegates.
I've seen some testimonials and mentions from people that you only get 4-5 entries per week into these mode(s), but I can't find anything official that backs that up. So barring that its just a wait and see angle.

If this stuff truly is infinitely farmable with no bullshit, I agree it sounds pretty good. But the devil is in the details.

So the guaranteed shards kick in every 20 runs, it just gives you 10 character shards from the TGS demo. If it truly is a cap of 5 runs a week that's a worst case scenario of 3 months for one character.
The massive amount of runs required leads me to believe there isn't a lockout at all but we'll see in a few days.
