Ok, I need help. For some reason none of the carbines are working for me, whereas other people are using them as laser beams. Multiple times I think my red dot crosshair in ADS is on someone, not even 10 meters away, and I swear they are dodging the bullets somehow. the breaking point for me was on manhattan when i was constantly reviving my squadmates, using smokes, drag reviving over defibbing when it was appropriate to ensure they never died after getting revived

On BF3 I was that very unhelpful lazy sniper who would get four kills in 40 minutes but somehow end up near the top of the scoreboard because all of those kills were other snipers 2km away.

Yes, unless your muzzle device says otherwise, if someone is looking at you and sees your muzzleflash you get the red 3D spot over your head without anyone pressing Q on you. The minimap spot does not require line of sight. Supressors hide the 3d spot and make reduce the minimap spot to 15m.

This is why high ROF is the meta, the server desync issue has been there since BF1 but it wasn't a problem since BF1 was a slower game. It's absolute problem in 6 because the TTK is so goddamn fast, losing 20%~ of your shots means 1 less bullet TTK at close range which is why you might be losing gunfights a lot.

That's why you should always go for weapons with high ROF for BF6.

Most likely has something to do with your movement. Lots of people don't understand how their actions affect the spread of the gun, so they blame the netcode. Try shooting exclusively while crouched and stationary, see if it helps you beam, then gradually try to incorporate movement.
