I got my covid booster yesterday and had a very unpleasant dream last night that the stream behind my condo was flooding over and dragging the building with it. I tried to stay calm but then ants started coming out of the carpet so I went to stay with my mom & her fiance but the fiance was tenna instead and they said' oh you can sleep in your old room but look out for the hole under your bed' and left. That's super cool! I was thinking about mentioning it, as a fic writer myself my main WIP Dess fic involves her struggling with drug addiction, specifically heroin. She's not ""lost"" it's just inconvenient for the powerful Holiday family to publicly mention their drug-addicted daughter. It's dark as hell but I want it to have a hopeful ending. I don't think it being an edgefest means it has to have a tragic ending and I definitely think Dess having a happy ending is great. It would problably lean towards Dess x Asriel if I bothered with shipping in it at all

Think I did a while ago? Was mostly asking people to read it and see how "accurate" the portion I wrote was, and a few said I nailed the paranoid part.
Yours sounds cool though. Edgy stuff with a happy ending is nice, unless it goes a bit TOO far. Kind of made a fic like that and had to tone it back near the end, rewriting a lot of it to be completely different.

i love clean simply-drawn not-overly-detailed not-shoved-into-the-camera feet a lot, and paws/hooves/whatever, but also Good Leg's pics that happen to have the whole body including feet shown, just feels 'proper' for a pinuppy type image. i fucking LOVE them in those contexts but in every other possible context they're gross and it feels over-indulgent. i don't feel like this is even remotely weird or picky or prudish at all, i feel it should be the default common way to appreciate them, but people on the net especially in nerd-holes like this tend to be over-indulgent by default

I'm thinking about it as a slow thing. I mean, imagine knowing who Dess actually is and watching this play out. If we take the whole "Kris couldn't learn anything"/"Kris knows the knight's identity" theory seriously, but honestly you don't even have to take it seriously for the story. It would start slow, with the Knight being a relatively normal and super imposing thing, then Dess would fight a little slower, and a little less intensely, and then by the end of it she's basically just lightly tossing swords towards the Fun Gang that probably wouldn't even hurt them if they hit. Imagine a Knight chase scene that's supposed to be there, but Dess just... can't. I think that would be totally heartbreaking.

Of course, she would get back up again, too. Dess would keep fighting, and improve a little more every day! This version of the story would probably be more explicit with you caring for Dess more, obviously, and the Knight would be a lot more sympathetic...

That's just the general idea of it in my head. It's totally not fleshed out at all.

What do you imagine Kris's voice sounds like? In comic dubs and stuff it seems like most people either give them a generic male voice to make them sound like a normal guy to contrast against the worlds of darkners and monsters, or give them like a cartoonish tricky sleezy child voice. I don't think the first one fits at all and don't like the second one either. I always imagined Kris to be very soft spoken and to usually speak using the fewest words possible, sounding a bit like an androgynous Rei Ayanami from Evangelion.

You can talk about other voice headcanons if you want, too. The main difference between most other people's headcanon voices and mine is while they base the voice off the character I base it off their soundbyte.
