na league was never that competitive with asia, but riot essentially killed na league back in s5(2015) because they took the server out of LA and put it in chicago, while forcing players to live in LA for pro scene, so suddenly in a game on mechanics only you are now playing on 80 ping. 80 ping in league is like playing with 300 ping as a mid player in dota, you can imagine how doomed it was from that point.

i haven't played dota in 2 weeks and i've figured out why this game is so dogshit and addictive at the same time
it's the RNG that makes it shit and the stable shit which i'm used to which makes it good. matchmaking especially with stacks is the fucking worst. people playing like shit one game and then having a free game on the enemy team because of even worse teammates infuriates me. random bashes or uphill misses or general unlucky shit makes me fly into a blind rage
and then there's the good stuff like getting sprees, owning the lane, playing well, having actual humans on the team, owning bad ex-teammates in the next game

the good stuff doesn't outweigh the bad anymore for me which is why i'm tapering off into single player games and titles which lets me play at my own pace. good games shouldn't be so anger inducing and it's really up to the devs to gatekeep the retards out of the game so they can maintain the integrity of the community and sustain game quality

Brewmaster, Naga Siren, Arc Warden, Morphling, Rubick, Kez, Puck, Earth Spirit. Even some easier heroes like Mars and Tusk have a low skill floor but a high potential skill ceiling

I think there's also some heroes that have a high potential purely based on how flexible they are and can itemize and adapt to many drafts and situations. Beastmaster is a good example.
