Lacuna was not created by Cool Boy or anyone at IDEA, it was pre-existing virtual space based on an amalgration of real world geographic data that they copied and repurposed into the setting of Liberator for the purpose of acting as a preservation space for Digimon wandering around on the net. The first attempt was Cross Connectia which was going to be a more conventional digimon experience but was rejected in favour of Lacuna on the special advisor's, Unchained, recommendation.

Lacuna's environment outside of select locations is inherently poisoness to Digimon, baring a few exceptions, so they have to have their data contained in cards for their own safety. This is also why wild digimon hack NPCs as it achieves the same effect but without needing a human tamer.

All Digimon partners can be projected out the D-Storage but only one at a time. When the tamer is logged out they're sent to the EGG area which is a safe zone from the poison.

For Cyber Sleuth would two Gallantmon CM be more efficient than two Alphamon Ouryuken? I still like their designs, but in 3D they're just okay. Kyubimon looked gorgeous in her new model (huff the fluff), but I dropped her after she digivolved into the mask-tarot painter.
My main trio has been LadyDevimon (cute & cool starter), Wingdramon (great design, great power), and Angewomon (cute & pretty; initially only wanted her for the Mastemon fusion).
