There's a scam happening on the v3expo Discord server. A moderator is privately messaging users, promising a free year of Claude code and Comet Browser for game development. They get you to sign up for Comet Browser (earning them $3) and then ask you to log in with your Gmail account, claiming it's to sync your mobile data. This connects your Google account across devices, allowing them to steal your data. The Discord owner has blocked me when I tried to warn them.

There is a furry that works for the NSA claiming he will get bots to buy 2000 copies of your game if it has some type of patriotic message. This is a scam. Do not listen to him.

switching bottom code with queue_free fixed my game-quit errors. for some reason the function call would get queued to after the nodes are freed(?) and raise a !is_in_tree() error.
but when it's a queue_free() call it doesn't matter at all and I can work around it.
I want to pause the tweens when the game is paused though. it's silly.

People are casually opposed to godot before/without trying it. it can do commercial games well, as plenty of games show. I don't want realistic graphics or open world so its limitations don't matter much to me.
the console export thing is unfortunate but I'm not a fan of waiting 30 seconds to recompile a tiny unity script while learning syntax/debugging, or the 8gb ram idle.

Been adding a dialogue/quest system over the past couple of weeks. NPCs can repeat dialogue (pic related), iterate over an array of dialogues, check/give/take items, and check/set custom flags.

Hopefully rest areas and NPCs will help break up the relentless puzzling.

Canva just killed affinity by turning it into freemium trash.
TRUKE NOVA: endusers/consoomers (goys) want to be treated like shit, they know they are pay pigs and and think free or cheap stuff is trash. They should have raised their price even higher if they wanted to compete with adobe and then done a big holiday discount. Paypigs love expensive shit that is on sale.
This is why if your game price is too low goys (steam users) will think your game is jeeted, and they don't want to zutt themselves by playing AI (actually indian) slop.
Cause guess what? Everything, every fucking thing and even better, that adobe does already exists free or solved and has for a long time. Just like how blender can basically do anything industry standard does yet is not seen as a professional tool.

Basically open source is the only answer, but also so is piracy. Cause if buying isn't owning piracy isn't stealing.
But the issue is open source is asymmetric. All FOSS creations can also be stolen by closed source agents and improved with money like a prostitute vs my wife. They both have vaginas but I hate my wife. But here's the thing, AI is trained on everything, free, stolen, etc. and AI is slowly getting better (even though it seems like each update makes it more lobotomized). Eventually people will just say "AI make photoshop but better" and it will clone git repos with everything it needs and just make photoshop but better, but then at that point you'll just say "AI do everything I want so I don't have to."
AI won't be the death of the working class like every corpo is praying for, it will be the death of supply demand relationship because AI services will satisfy all demand. Somehow capitalists forgot how capitalism works, because they money they earn comes from people with jobs who use the money they made from jobs to pay for their demands to be satisfied. We don't even live in a capitalist society anymore, we live in a speculative economy where scarcity and value is manufactured. For example the reason the US doesn't have enough doctors is because they intentionally cut down the supply to reduce saturation to make doctors more valuable.
