Also heads up, if you have Gillion and his gacha sword, warrior cry is a lot stronger since its debuff will activate the sword's attack increase while debuffed gimmick. I went from dealing 3k with surety with his unique skill at level 3 to 4k damage.

Nah, wild strike's debuff wears off by the time you get your next turn. Unless you're insane enough to inherit Alice on yourself to make that last longer, wild strike doesn't work and you're better off using warrior's cry and his unique/heavy strike/immortal strike.

Here's my Gillion's stats by the way for those tests. I'd really like to know immortal strike's damage at higher levels but I don't want to spend the skill books to test it myself, I already spent some leveling up his unique skill to level 3.

No. A little tip: later on you'll have to Reverse obstacles in the game world, things like piles of rocks and whatnot, you can get a bullseye with those and get free healing out of combat.

well, i was comparing it to other games, rather than other gachas. i don't mind that i get punished for fucking up, the problem is that there's nothing else to do. i made a B team but there aren't even any quests i can do on the lower levels anymore. i would just need to grind generic mobs for hours... what is this game design.

Its a bit daunting if you're just starting but I recommend suiciding yourself in the same battle, then using flames to retry if any of your members die so that you wont need to revive them at the church

Big fuck you charge up moves like that is where you learn to defend or die. getting hit while defending will also give the enemy an opening(has a 1 turn cooldown), which let's you hit them for a percentage of their HP. stat debuffs(dilto/batilgref/balafeos are king against bosses, and katino is king against normal mobs.

I am revisiting A2 and one thing I don't like is that half of the abyss is a gimmick, we don't have some cool interaction like we had in A1 with elmon, Albano and the other jobbers, all the quests between rounds are boring and stressful. I really hope that in A4 we have something different, like more characters to care for or something like that.

B team is level 9 now, A team was level 14.

i didn't use the same equips but I did press auto-equip. it was mostly bronze gear. Not that I had much better than bronze for the A team, but a lot of it was at +4. I guess the difference is that A team was specc'd for boss fights (e.g. two handed axe on chloe, vs 1h sword on abenius). I can't beat the two ent fight on B5F with the B team.

i also have a better idea of how to play now, of which enemies are dangerous, when to be conservative and when to roll in like thunder.
But I also think some of the characters are just better. Abenius feels better than Chloe. And Bakesh better than milana. But maybe it's just milana doing nothing but nagging the whole time meanwhile bakesh is a total gwo

Gerard is still worse, Gillion you can still slap heavy attack on if you don't want to deal with his 30% HP loss from using his unique skill, and immortal strike will help him get some of his HP back.

If you go all the way with investing in Gillion you will get a good row-clearing fighter, which gives him a niche over Gerard and Lana. Gerard is an actual, complete fucking brick since his unique skill isn't even the same element as he is so it deals less damage when hitting weakness, it's actually better to feed him to a normal wind unit like olive or ophelia so they can actually make proper use of his unique skill. Also savia just flat out does his dodge tank gimmick way better.

But even then Gerard isn't "bad", you can make anyone work with enough effort.

The bonuses from discipline are fairly small compared to levelling and upgrading equipment and won't really affect your ability to progress early game. It's much better to hoard them until you have a better understanding of the game. That way you can decide what you'd like to spend your valuable dupes on yourself. Started timing my cyclops runs using 3 ninjas(MC with daggers, yuzu with her kunai/covert kunai[lvl 2 skill], and Kiriha with 2 kunai). Starts when entering floor 10 and stops when leaving floor 10 with a cyclops kill(I would reset the fight when the succubi all die, so that would add extra time to longer runs). Overall, it's way more efficient than necro, but there are times you seriously get fucked on the RNG.
