Her weapon is a dps increase in the sense that you are hitting more enemies with your skills because of the extra range but you won't be hitting harder.

In theory Misty Veil (the hydro demon wedge that buff summons based on her melee atk speed) should grant a decent buff from the weapon atk speed passive but you have to stack it first and the problem is that in most situations, you won't be hitting enemies cuz they are dead before reaching you. Against boss enemies might be better for sure.

As far as I have noticed the elemental damage over time from triggers seems really, really weak.

Getting trigger probability for spike seems the most useful. It's damage bonus is noticeable (at least 20%), and bosses are pretty much all HP, so it excels there.

But I think it ultimately depends on the weapon's base stats. Some weapons have high crit but bad trigger probability, and vice versa. I imagine a spike weapon with high trigger prob. could be good against bosses... except most normal weapons seem outclassed by Consonance weapons.

Lisbell gets a ton of trigger chance from her passive so her smash greatsword wrecks boss stance bars on top of having moderate crit stats. Lynn's spike pistols have really high base trigger probability (but bad crit) so bumping it up higher will help her with tankier targets like bosses. I haven't looked at other consonance weapons, but their ability to scale with skill dmg just makes them seem better.
