So disable them. I have mine active exclusively for trappers because their spawn/roaming audio is frequently drowned out, and if I only learn about their existence when they announce their net, I might be out of position to dodge it.
Even the overhead text prompt isn't all that useful because it triggers on overheads that are a mile away from you, facing away, targeting someone else.

How are you meant to play ogryn in havoc?
I know you use taunt mainly, but I mean mainly what should you do gameplay wise?
Like once you taunt, how do you move and what direction do you move?

Same with rumbler BLO build, I know you're meant to try grenade maxxing by meleeing and shooting like 3 shots at once but it feels like all melee weapons feel really awful and can barely kill trash if you aren't playing a dedicated melee build.
Also doesn't help if you have a flame psyker who just kills all trash mobs before you even manage to hit them.

Asking for help because I don't feel confident in my skills despite having close to 2000 hours on ogryn.

Bodyguard. Be aware of your veteran's and psyker's positions as best as possible and keep the baddies off them. Bunch enemies up for easy aoe by kiting them into chokepoints if possible, instead of fighting in the open. Use the taunt CDR node, not the damage amp. Try to stay between your psyker/vet and the enemy.

The best BLOgryns I've played with used power maul, but I play zealot so I'm either in front, or literally looking behind me, and the ogryn is usually on the opposite side lol, so I'm not sure exactly how they use it.
Also ogryn is one of the strongest when it comes to meleeing bosses dead without dedicating a meme build to it like zealot is forced to. If a captain spawns, you glue yourself to it and ensure Skullcrusher is stacked on it.
Rumbler can stunlock monstrosities that were previously stunned (such as shout or chorus), but I never bothered to figure out how or why.

The most important thing you can do is stay alive and stop melee blobs from surrounding you. You shouldn't be taking unnecessary melee damage. If you take too much ranged damage, that is your veteran's fault, bring someone that actually knows how to play the class instead of scoreboard padding by plasma cleaving like a retard.

The Indignatus isn't too terrible against Carapace with energized hits (4 hits for Arbites, 5 with zealot who needs to invest in Hammerblow to knock crushers around).
The Arbites shock maul has faster direct damage and has the shock special for directed control. But the Indignatus has the AoE effect on the heavy energized strike that spreads Skullcrusher and Thunderous Brittleness to everything in the area for team support. Doesn't apply Suppression Force talent though which is sad.

The game doesn't teach you much at how to suck less. Nor does it teach players the basics of a decent weapon. They let the community do the heavy lifting for both, but don't do much to spot light how to improve. Ironically, I think an end of mission scoreboard is great to show basic information for a player to look at and see how they compare to their teammates and see where they might be lacking as in initial point of growth.

Nioh 2 is one of the best games ever made, co-op was dumb builds galore. The PC release was like wtf, 50€ (I got a key for sub 40), with all DLC, all patches, all amazing. Released during peak corona, wasn't a giant hit somehow despite no games releasing then and no controversies.
3 comes out next spring. The games they've made in between haven't been nearly as good, so I have reservations about it.

I tried it looking it up on Kuli's guide but it doesn't say.
I just wonder since in the Power Surge blessing section of the guide it mentions that if you have Skullcrusher, you can apply stacks of Skullcrusher instantly onto everything with the power maul explosion.
So I wonder if the Super Charge blessing works the same way.

Duellist isnt just for knife and duelling sword
The crushers push attack has abnormally high finesse scaling compared to every other attack in the moveset, so duellist scales with it really well. If you first stagger something with an activated hit, it applies 8 stacks of skullcrusher on it, 4 from the hit and 4 from the explosion, which is now an additional 80% multiplicitive damage against that guy for that stagger window. Now add in a high finesse attack that has 50% more finesse with a forced 100% rending crit with a ton of baseline damage boosts and suddenly that crusher is gone

Why would you spend the 5 times effort and getting the perfect set up with a mediocre weapon, when you can just achieve the same level of effectiveness/damage output, god forbid you do more even more damage, by just playing almost half assedly with the most OP weapon.

That's not a jab against someone wanting be skilled and do well even with a off-meta/un-optimal weapon, but you have to understand the reality of things.
It's like the dilemma with using thunder hammer or dueling sword. 1 weapon takes like 3 business days and a good set up and then use your ult to be able to deal the most damage, while with the horrendeus cockroach toothpick you only need to aim at the enemy's head while holding m1 and then let go.

The real problem is neither the player or the weapon, the problem is Fatshark being retarded and being "dig your heels in and never budge" level of stubborn and retarded about balance with certain weapons.
Like the thunder hammer, there is no actual good reason why it shouldn't be able to 1 shot a crusher to the head with a heavy attack while using the power activation, and without any blessing, perk or talent shenanannigans. Especially concerning how long the activation takes and the retarded slow down it applies to you for no reason which makes your character momentarily retarded and forgets how their legs function.

Revolver has the niche of having really good cleave, but bolt pistol is better mostly thanks to having a bigger mag, better ammo, and Puncture blessing which lets you shoot monstrosities dead if for some reason you can't melee them right that moment. You can also get the blessing which lets you fire while sprinting, not sure if revolver has that. I never missed my revolver since I gave it up for the bistol.

Just don't use the brown explosive mark with lower damage and ammo. It's literally useless.

If you want to run dog in the optimal way you don't either of the keystones near Lone Wolf. Both Unleashed Brutality and Go Get 'Em are just bad, the damage they offer is not enough to be worth it.
If you want to maximize dog damage, take razor jaw at the top left of the tree and the take voltaic mandibles, and finally you take Execution Order.

Basically use pic related as a template with the dog build.
And this is just a template, you can still use the nuncio aquila or break the line with EO and it is good.

Snipers are still a huge problem. And I mean only snipers. Knives are fucking great against everything else that matters, and you get tons of them, so if your aim is decent, you can annihilate most ranged threats, except snipers.
You can theoretically hit snipers just fine with knives, but practically, there'll often be a ceiling or a fence in the way, eating your knife no matter how skilled you are at tossing them.
2-3 snipers are a serious threat if you're distracted with other stuff and have to fuck up your dodge/slide cadence as a result. They can also cripple you out of being able to do certain objectives. Being literally unable to do anything about them, and having sub-animal retards for teammates, makes the flamer non-viable in aurics imo.

Honestly speaking?
GW probably will be much more forgiving and lenient on Hive Ganger cosmetics than Arbites.
I think the big reason why arbites haven't gotten cosmetics is because GW recently released that Kill Team kit and it is the latest 100% official GW thing did with arbites, and arbites in DT are basically 1:1 copies of the tabletop ones.
Every other art depiction you see is usually from a 3rd party source like FFG rpgs, which is a problem because for whatever GW and FFG parted on bad terms. And it leaves all the FFG material in a weird limbo of "Is it ok to use or not? What's the legality here as well?"

On the other hand Necromunda, which is 100% official and made by GW directly, its hive gangs have lot of visual variety.
There's fuck loads of stuff they could make into cosmetics just by copying Necromunda gangs, and not like this is unlikely.
Remember those ogryn servitor heads with the cyclops eye? Those are specifically from the ogryn slave gang kit, which is a Necromunda kit. There's few other things, like how lot of the basic zealot cosmetics in DT are pretty clearly inspired by the Cawdor gang from NM.

Yes CDR is mathematically pretty weak due to calculation quirks, but it's still the only way to shave off more cooldown on your ult, which is incredibly strong for most classes. Especially in the case of stuns and/or piss toughness, having it 1-2 seconds earlier can make or break a run.
Another problem is what that perk is competing with. Gunner resist is incredible. Revive speed is great but you want to avoid downs anyway. Corruption resist isn't worth stacking more than 1 of. Flamer and bomber resist are good I guess. Those 5% toughness or 5% health that auriclets swear by don't even do anything in havoc anymore. Your base stats are just that crippled. CDR is always going to be my #1 choice on anything that isn't BTL arbites.

I got h40 early. There was a huge number of shitters complaining about how impossible it is, and they were loud enough that fatshark nerfed EFL soon after. You must've forgotten the absolute bullet hoses that were generic scab shooters. A lot of this general can't slide.
I still think it was easier back then to get True Survivor than it is in the current season, but that's mostly because the current season is turbo cancer. The CDR nerfs definitely hurt, but they didn't really change the game in a fundamental way. Being as pessimistic as possible, you can still brute force it by winning 40s until you have an easy map with easy modifiers, then intentionally wiping whenever someone goes down to reset it.

Unfortunately, it is meaningful, in the sense that most shitters (including this general) get filtered before ever hitting EFL2. The dog will easily deal upwards of 200k damage in a run, but it is deceptive and has mechanical quirks. Bad teammates deal like 300k, uselessly bumble around in the corner of the map, ignore you doing the objective, and don't help with disablers. The dog is better in every way.
The dog's damage counts as your melee damage, so even Power DI doesn't track it correctly. As a rule of thumb, I believe Volatic Mandibles counts as minion damage, and that number can roughly be doubled to get the correct dog damage.
Razor-Jaw Augment deals significant bleed damage overall. Most of it is chip, but it's a small aoe and it does add up. The dog also seems to have some leftover damage multiplier that fatshark never got rid of, so the bleed is twice as powerful as usual, which you can prime on monstrosities and then stack up or keep up using Puncture blessing or a teammate's bleed source. This does mean Power DI is deceptive in its damage numbers, but it goes both ways if a teammate applied the first (weaker) bleed stack (also not counting it for your dog).
The dog is surprisingly responsive and pretty quick. If you've ever struggled with the boltgun taking too long to draw and shoot a trapper, the dog solves that problem. It's a good sniper seeking missile. Mandibles lets it stun ogryn, including crushers.

Dog has a top 3 worthy team-wide buff, next to ammo aura and purity aura (RIP psykinetic). Yes, I said team-wide. Not just you. This isn't even the dog aura (that I don't think is all that good), just a blue node.

Besides fun, I don't think there is any mechanical or optimization related reason to run Lone Wolf in aurics. You only need regenerating shock mines if you're dogshit at the game. You can still bring mines with the dog, 2 is plenty for doing objectives, and you can pick up more. Frags do not outperform the dog.
It gets a little more complicated in havoc, but I think the dog is valid there, too, just weaker.

Yeah, agreed, I just wanted to point out the false equivalence that is Lone Wolf vs Go Get 'Em!/Unleashed Brutality, since the actual trade-off you're making is losing the dog, which is huge. Locking you out of Canine Morale in particular is a big loss.
Unleashed Brutality is literally useless, Go Get 'Em! arguably has a use case in havoc, but I find it difficult to justify the point. The numerical values on both are irrelevant, but encouraging the AI to target shooters can be useful sometimes. Just, from personal experience, the dog should almost always have a kill command, except when there's mutants around and you want to keep it close for obvious reasons.

You can have carapace armor, but it won't change your stats. That's basically Fatshark's answer to how it will treat armors.
Like all arbites wear carapace armor, but it amounts to the class only having 80 base toughness (originally 100 base toughness like veteran who only wears regular flak armor)
