So no snow or Xmas event until over a month into the wipe? Not sure how I feel about this. Last winter wipe was fucking magical aside from the shit performance. Moreover, only a complete retard would buy PvE mode. Just download the SPT mod because it's free and you can install a modded AI that is 100 times better than the shitty braindead bots offered in the offcial PvE mode, aside from a huge selection of other mods too.

The only issue is that you would have to wait a while until SPT updates to version 1.0, but you could simply play PvP while you wait.

And no, only fangirls chocking on Nikita's cock say that SPT is against the terms of service and may get you banned.

Why would they? Like 90% of the Tarkov community are a bunch of paypig cucks who bought Unheard edition, so now Nikita thinks that he can make extra money by encouraging people to buy the game twice for no reason whatsoever.

The irony is that Nikita is too greedy and dumb to realize that not offering players free steam keys will actually backfire:

- Tarkov will release on Steam but most veteran players won't buy the game twice.

- This will lead to the game having a disappointing number of concurrent players, because most players will be using the standalone client of Tarkov.

- Normies will see Tarkov being played by only 30k players on Steam and think that the game is a flop, especially when compared to Arc Raiders which will have 10x as many players.

- The vast majority of people who buy Tarkov on Steam will be complete new players who will write negative reviews based on single issues, and without having played enough to understand the depth of Tarkov.

- The more negative the reviews are, the more discourage other potential players will feel about buying the game.

tl;dr: Nikita is a dumb motherfucker and he deserves the complete botched released that is about to happen.

Tarkov will launch on Steam but 90% of the players will be using the standalone launcher due to the lack of free Steam keys.

Consequently, Tarkov will show a low number of concurrent players on Steam, so normies will think that Arc Raiders is 10x bigger than Tarkov

Therefore, lots of new players will avoid Tarkov because they think the launch was a flop.

In the end, Nikita though he was being smart by making some players buy the game twice, but instead he will actually earn less money because of it.

I want BSG to introduce edition toggles for the game because I unironically bought EOD and Unheard to support them but I dislike all the grind taken away, feels cheap

as someone who KAPPA'd on both SPT and official Tarkov PVE I don't really recall seeing any performance difference between the two, outside of an issue on Lighthouse that I believe was patched where rogues would path into metal barriers and essentially non-stop recalculate their path a thousand times a second, causing your frames to drop to 12-20FPS until they're killed (which was on official PVE, though I imagine it could've also been on SPT I just didn't see it happen personally)
