This worked on me. I went Aeon at first cause I wanted magical, illusion piercing eyes like an anime character. All the lawfagging was boring me though so I switched to Azata and used it to become an anime character instead. A lot of the Azata NPCs who live on your floating island (cough Filllory cough) are too "lul so randum" for me but I do like the Dragonling. Particularly because she gave me an excuse to bench a boring party member to make room for her.

That's why it sucks to make those decisions. The story itself is fire (eg romancing Galfrey and letting her keep her memories or deleting them are both great) but to make those choices over the course of an 80-120 hour adventure? Really sucks the wind out of the power fantasy for no real gain.

Your lich spells are very powerful so yes, you can. Not every undead companion is good (stauton or whatever is dogshit for example but he has warpriest buffs at least) but sure. In particular the archer and the dual-wielder are not only cool but they have cool little bits of content to them.
If you let the archer go free she later rejoins you and it's pretty kino, she learns of the world and how it is and you get to play as a pretty neutral / good lich in regards to her.
The evilness of the route is greatly overstated in the current iteration, at best anevia still gets a bit pissy at you for one (1) line, but you don't even need to kill all of drezen for example. Unless you do for your 10th mythic level, I just killed zacharius because I no longer needed him and he threated me, so I ascended with only 9 mythic levels.

Decently, they give you free spells (pretty sure magus still gets those right?) and some feats if I'm not mistaken. Like getting wings for dragon bloodlines, thats +3 AC right there. Also access to draconic disciple if they want the bite attack and extra strength.
Undead isn't the greatest I don't think. The one thing that you do is hit people with a sword and the occasional touch spell, and those are seldom necromancy (outside of vampiric touch), you're no CCer or buffer.
But then again unless you have something in mind it's doubtful that it'll make or break your build.

The game doesn't tell you but most things are based on your stat modifier, not the whole stat, in this it's stat/10, 50 is 5 for example
Hit chance is 30%+ your whole ballistic skill, caps out at 95% and it turns into crit for any extra
Weapon skill increases your chance to parry and to make the other guy not parry, there's no "hit chance" for melee exactly (gun people can only dodge it, for example, you can't miss the hit roll ever and they can't parry)
Leveling toughness is worthless it just gives you a tiny bit of HP
INT only matters for operative
PER reduces enemy dodge by the whole stat, AGI reduces it by half your stat but only if attacking with melee weapons
STR just increases melee damage (5% per modifier, 10% if twohanding)
Dual-wielding is great because more attacks but it gives you a debuff to hit so early on it won't be the most accurate
Operative is not terrible but it's the worst archetype, it's mostly built for sniping and debuffing but you could always use 2 pistols, there's a lot of support for double pistols because of a companion
Warrior has trouble getting extra attacks but can use a saw that hits multiple times a turn
Blade dancer is sort of the designated sword class
Soldier deals with guns in general but not too great at single shot
Burst-fire is OP and so is playing with an Officer, unfair isn't broken and stupid like in other owlcat games, I find it's the only way to make the game moderately engaging but you're learning so ymmv

Oh yeah also, last one I promise, both dodge and heavy armor are viable, the higher in difficulty you go the harder it is to use dodge because enemies get obscene amounts of dodge reduction and it's easier to increase team-wide armor than dodge, but with buffs and stuff it's still doable. Outside of unfair just pick whatever you think is cooler there. Also AGI helps your initiative tremendously while PER only helps by half, so keep that in mind if you have "I want to go first" autism like I do

Its honestly a much easier to learn system than 3.5/pf so I don't expect too much problems, its also very tuned towards the player so I'd probably go a difficulty or two up compared to what you normally play on other owlcat games. A psyker MC will be the most talent and skill starved character but its still plenty fun as long as you have a clear vision. Only tip I'll really mention is to stick to your conviction, even if its the no major conviction route. You don't have to abide by every decision but like I think 85-90% of the time you should follow your chosen path

As someone who worked in a materials lab and publish papers, I find her insufferable.
I find her frustrating on a personal level. I teach high school physics for a living, and she's by far the worst "scientist" character in fiction I have encountered in years. Retaking it require a nasty two-pronged attack with your party and a small group of pallies going from the underground while the Queen and the whole crusade goes for a head-on strike. In spite of all his weird multiclasses he still has a high BAB, he's specced into using Falchions which are pretty decent weapons because they're 2-handers with an 18-20 crit range, and he has all the Cleave feats. He also gets to keep smite Chaos, although his CHA is godawful, but you can still squeeze a few extra points of attack bonus, he also gets barbarian rage. Just enlarge him, give him Outflank, improved critical falchion and let him go to town.
