I do hope the negative attention from Amphoreus would cause SOMETHING to change behind the scenes but knowing Mihoyo, it won't. Is it strange that I interpret someone Coralie's comments during that section she fought alongside a copy of Helia for over a hundred years as a meta-criticism of time skips that don't affect the character or have no impact on the player? Take HSR where TB just spent 1000 years in Amphoreus but didn't change at all in personality and the player didn't personally experience a fraction. hsrg also has many posters saying her treatment of Phainon is nothing short of shameful. Her attachment to TB and very low screen time with the other Amphoreus characters makes it look like she leapt onto a stranger's dick and ignored all of her friends who're suffering for her plan.

Really, this whole deal is because Amphoreus got the "bright" idea to split Elysia's role into two heavily shilled characters. Phainon's got Elysia's role of being an overly shilled character practically glued to your hip and fawning over TB while Cyrene spends most of the time as Mem but has the Elysia role of sacrificing herself to save everyone. This left Cyrene lacking the screen time and interactions with other characters Phainon got, and Phainon being mocked by players as a cuck or tool that Cyrene sees more like a chess piece than a friend. You can tell Phainon loves Amphoreus because we have seen how much he has endured for his friends, you can tell Cyrene loves Amphoreus because the game is constantly reminding you of that. We never see her having significant interactions with the Chrysos Heirs or other Amphorean NPCs, she doesn't care about Phainon, and even her interactions with the TB were very one sided and superficial. Ironically, at least Elysia had tons of scenes with the Flame Chasers so they managed to fuck up what wasn't a problem before.

Those are a lot of words about HRT and I don't care about any of them.
