Reminder that melee weapons are better than skills once you have full gold wedges, because they scale with both the wedges of your character and your weapon. +75% attack speed, +200% crit damage, fucktons of Resolve and ATK from character wedges, literally infinite damage ceiling. You might think weapons are shit, but in reality the devs balanced them around full gold wedges.

Why is the enemy level cropped? Also, yes, melee has potential but its main problem is that you have to build up combo to do damage. This isn't a big issue in theatre but if all you have is a single target, good luck hitting those S charged attacks.

The problem is wedges do not have consistent progression like characters do. The entire time from TR1 to TR60 you are constantly getting access to upgrades for your character. Weapons get a vast majority of good upgrades at high TR. There are some cases where you go from a fucking green to a gold wedge because there's nothing in between.

Perhaps, it would depend more on the individual character's kit though. Having good skills to facilitate weapon usage is more important than the difference in elemental wedges. Rhythm apparently has a build that makes katana usage viable.
Meanwhile Lumino currently has 2 supports, a spellcaster, and consonance weapon user. So you're only going to see them use regular weapons to skill procs, they don't care about dmg from the weapon itself. Although one of the upcoming characters (Kezhou) is proficient in all weapon types and happens to be lumino.

Yes that's what they need. Weapons need to be servicable on their own without relying on the character at all. There should also be characters that specifically boost their weapon damage to use them as the primary source of damage, but even support characters should be able to deal decent damage with just their weapons alone.

You are right of course, TFD is the perfect example of what happens when you refuse to nerf. (whole game is dominated by one very OP character who invalidates all others). We are kind of there already, everyone is playing Nifle or Lynn in high level co-op.

I would love for them to at least make all of the shit ex-4* units into actually viable characters to play instead of them being Genshin-style accessory units to use as AI companions. What I expect though, is endless powercreep to push you to buy the new units so you can full clear the theatre.

In general things will update in real time but summons are a special case. Buffs on Rebecca don't seem to matter for her jellyfish at all. If Truffle buffs and then you summon jellyfish they won't deal increased damage at all because they're treated as individual entities and they can receive buffs as well. If someone wants to buff Rebecca they basically have to treat her jellyfish as characters themselves.

Yes but the trash mobs that surround the chest have a 0% chance of killing it. I've done it myself several times, you can just leave the chest, go kill the boss, then go back. That would actually explain why it took that Lynn guy 14 minutes.
Chase is baby content, that's why it's not a good metric. Every unit besides actual bricks like Randy can clear it at lvl70.

You go into lv10 exploration with efficiency and range and just stomp everything to death.

Without introns she just doesn't work, I can only assume even with introns she relies too much on skill levels to make the passive and numbers acceptable at all.

Her whole kit is designated around the purple orb and trigger chance (mainly melee trigger being 100% for her second passive).
Her ball does nothing without heavy investment which would make any other character shine aside from tabethe and randy as your playable ones.

The linking mechanic on a base 10 meters ability means her whole kit competes with ANY other aoe currently. It should be buffed to either 25m base if it keeps the linking limit per second and per cap or just link everything when hit by the ball intermittent AOE, there is no other option.

She shines for comfy maze though, as the plethora of options on additional damage on hit make her garbage baseline do anything. True damage artifact makes her shred stuff as she is almost incapable of doing more damage than its minimum. A normal polearm charge also doubles on building her passive and doing link damage.

You are wrong but admittedly I have a couple weapons I don't use at lvl40. All but three of my characters are at 60/70 (max ascended), the other three are at 50/60.
I'm incredulous because I only got as far as 56 by crafting and investing in a bunch of random shit I don't use, and the amount of xp needed for each level shoots the fuck up dramatically. I don't see how to progress without going out of my way to farm useless shit. Even if I max ascended every character and weapon I currently own I'd only get to maybe 25% of the way into 57

Here's an in-debth explanation.
For Lynn, it's all about her Laceration. When she marks and enemy with it, every ranged weapon hit from Lynn will apply "Laceration Wound" which when stacked to max explodes doing a burst of damage. At i6 Lynn applies Laceration with her ultimate (otherwise her skill is the only source) so you shoot a bunch of sawblades out and you keep rapidly applying Laceration with her ult while the sawblades keep stacking Laceration Wound at an astronomical speed.
for Lisbell, it's all about combo. At i2, she gains the ability to build combo off any source that procs bonus effect. Now, this by itself is worthless because when you swap between melee and ranged the combo count resets but since the sawbaldes remain on the field, you can quickly swap to Samael and have the sawblades build combo for her which let's her freely use the charged attack of Samael at basically no cost. At i4 her combo gain literally quintuples, making her even better.
