How come I can only quote 5 people in 1 post but others can quote 7 or even 10 people in 1 post? It seems unfair. I'm a paying customer, I should be able to at least quote the same amount, if not more.

This. I rarely ever want to do this but the few times I have it's considered spam. I've had all sorts of stuff called spam over the years and I sometimes can't even figure out what the offending word was.
