If you want tanks you should just play War Thunder, WoT is shit, but WoWS is a lot better than the naval mode in WT (but with a bit less of an emphasis on realism) and is a lot more generous with rewards. I play both games actively. Lower tiers is mainly bots with the odd human, it's still possible to have fun but the actual game starts at rank 5 maybe at the minimum, ranks 1-4 are training ones. To play ranked for example you need a tier 8 ship.

thats a smoke, you're supposed to camp around your flank of choice at the beginning of the game and eliminate any DD that tries to get in by radaring them, while being undetected for that duration. usually you dont need to smoke unless the island height is too small or you're sure that there's several DDs in the cap. plymouth's gameplay is essentially locking down your cap of choice from any incoming ship. later game you can either stay around same cap or move onto the nearest one as long your flank is empty, or the ships have fully went back to their spawn. i just used this guide as a reference to my playstyle, although its similar to how i used to play neptune.

Iwami has 20km torps with good launch angles and can launch and kill things from beyond spotting range. It has the british light cruiser super heal but it only heals 1/3 of citadel damage instead of 1/2.
It doesn't help much against bbs because they still overmatch everything and the ship has poor maneuverability, but it's strong against cruisers and lets you engage them in pretty much any way you want.

Free doesnt necessarily mean good or to immediately bend over backwards in thanks for, and weegee's extortionate pricing is no measure of quality. There's probably a reason it's in a crate, I dont see myself using it much ontop of not enjoying soviet ships or their looks.

I'm still eternally butthurt about the rebalance they did to that line. Bucky got nerfed and moved from tier 8 to 6. so Bucky and Akatsuki occupy tier 6 and 7 where they have the superior 3x3 torpedo layout but don't get the concealment mod or type 93s. Now Kagero and Yugumo occupy tier 8 and 9 where they get the concealment mod and good torpedoes, but have the dogshit 2x4 arrangement. Shimakaze's 20km range type 93s got nerfed from 1.7km detection range to 2.5km, making them basically ornamental. The original Japanese DD line is still the most scuffed line in the game easily, and to top it off, Kamikaze is still better than all of them up to tier 10)))

how do I play the alt french cruisers? I'm at Cherbourg now. The guns are underwhelming, the armor is retarded, the turret position implies that I should be sitting bow-in like a retard but this playstyle has 0 impact on the game. Charles Martel was much better.
