i liked eldewertio's implementation of sprint the most, maybe that's just halo 3 maps not having to compensate for sprint doe but it really does feel like spartans are fast and monstrous but it also changes the pace too much to be anything but novelty

So what's the deal with Campaign. I remember seeing someone had a buggy version of Halo 3 back in the 0.6 days, and I saw stuff for ODST regarding 0.7, but I haven't really been able to see much about actually getting the mod files. Is it readily available somewhere or do you have to copy files from a 360/MCC rip?

Also, as far as it and the Firefight mod goes, how is the netcode, and are you still capped to the usual number of players?

In all fairness, none of the new content added to MCC Halo 3 is really substantial compared to what you can get by modding El Dewrito. It mostly just amounts to ODST weapons and Halo Online content. Given that maps like Halocraft are compatible with El Dewrito, it looks like the Workshop content isn't gonna be a winning feature either.

NTA but if MCC is on sale for like 3 bucks or whatever and you want to play halo on PC, it's the best and smoothest option to do so. Eldewrito was a desperate cry out cope from the community because halo 3 multiplayer wasn't playable on PC for the longest time and people were dying for PC halo in the late 2010s. Even despite that it was never really super popular and the 0.6 boom lasted for a couple months at best. It served its purpose and did a pretty good job at that, it picked up a lot of slack from 343i and how broken MCC was for years.

Today, no one really wants to play halo on pc that badly nowadays anyway, so no shit no one's buying MCC at full price, but they also aren't going to put up with eldewrito or that one jank halo 2 pc game full of mexicans. The average halo enjoyer would rather just casually stumble upon a sale or buy a cheap key. You're being autistic and overtly hateful about this for no reason at all, there's no way you want people to play eldewrito that badly in 2025.
