I haven't felt any urge to use money yet. They give you some time patron for free and I've been using the 30min cd porticulum access from it but you can live without that. You do get 40% more xp but it hasn't exactly been slow to level. With this boost I'm skipping zones.

Turns out there's a vendor in Meridian that sells all of it. Adventure dealer for equipment and other guy for essences and such. Pay attention to the automatic filters it sets for you when you open the vendor.

Rift is way better than GW2. GW2 combat is alright but everything surrounding it sucks. Rift is the opposite. Combat isn't that good but the rest of the game is pretty decent. Like >>1739025 said some locked classes and limited inventory space are the biggest downsides. You still got 8 souls per archetype to play with and inventory is something you can deal with once you get a couple bigger bags.

My memories of Rift weren't very good but I've been having a lot of fun so far.

dungeons are 5 mans. expert dungeons are at the base game or that expansion's level cap and is an upscaled version of a dungeon featuring additional bosses. these begin at level 50.
there is an expert-only dungeon at 50 with 11 whole bosses wowee.
there is four 10 man raids and three 20 man raids at the 50 threshold. i think downscaling to 50 and trying expert dungeons and 10 mans would be feasible if there is any interest to knock it out and continue on, experience the content.

NA Shards Extended Downtime

Hello,
the NA shards downtime has been extended with no estimate.

The reason for this extension is due to an issue that is preventing players from getting past the first loading screen and into shard/character select. During this time, you may get stuck at 19% loading when trying to connect to the NA region.

Please rest assured we're already working on resolving this issue and we'll update you as soon as shards available once more.

Guild is clover ascended. You need to leave the starter guild. After that open the guild menu and search for it. You should be able to send a message and someone will add you shortly.

A special rift as opposed to the usual elemental rifts. Each wave is on a timer. You need to kill the waves within the time limit for BONUS. Compared to the usual rifts the nightmare rift goes as long as you can continuously complete the waves in time (though it seems you can fail a few and still continue). Mobs get stronger wave after wave while you are down leveled. You also get way more planarite and other rewards (in freemarch you get several thousand planarite in a nightmare rift vs like 30 for a normal rift). If you see one(appears as single twitching eyeball on map) just give a shout in guild chat.

The game has some neat monster designs at least

I hid 4 cheese wedges in the guild area. Default-sized, can be found while controlling your character (no need for freecam), hidden in default assets (not in items we placed).
If anyone's bored, you can try finding them. Pic-related, although this one doesn't count, it's what a cheese wedge looks like in-game.

Not sure if everyone got it right, some people managed to cheese it.
The orange transparent platform is cheese shaped, so you have to choose the cheese trapdoor. The platform is actually invisible but you can probe it by running into it.

Dragon Nest, by far the most popular game out of this entire event, with anime girls and upskirts and a fucking hot spring, FAILED to get 12 people for raids.
The core group involved with this event does not enjoy MMOs as a genre. That's why they make movie and minigame nights so they have an excuse to hang out with each other without playing for the current voted game.

So what? We regularly had dungeon parties, nightmare rift and invasion raids. What does it matter it wasn't expert dungeons or something? We had fun as a group playing the game. According to a random on the Rift discord, Gamigo broke the servers instead of just locking them and corrupted the character data. Backups would have been with whatever host they used previously but at this point it's deleted, so now any old characters you have are in permanent limbo.

Just under halfway through the game

World definitely feels empty; the lore surrounding the game has a good premise, and the sub-regions story quests play out in a decent-enough to make you have impact on the outcome.
It definitely would feel way better to have more people impacting the regions as you all work toward defending Telara.

Being a demigod invoking the souls of heroes of the past is a pretty cool trope

I haven't looked too far into the cash shop so far, but it also has not been pushed straight into my face to see what I COULD buy, which I unfortunately have to appreciate in the current market.

My biggest gripe is that you can tell combat animations and weapon swing effects were never really a thought. I'm sure I'll have further gripes after actually progressing and looking into the shity SaaS offerings

The 1-50 lore is really good, Storm legion isnt up to par, then it gets worse as it goes on. it really follows the same path as WoW were they exchange classic fantasy for rick and morty quipping
