There are some QoL features but they're just things like 2.25x exp, increased farming yields, infinite run and slayer task rerolls for non-ironmen, etc... Private servers are not a new concept. Ive been to hundreds of them in various games since 2004 or something. Ive witnessed the 2000 player thirdiefests and 5 player peak custom servers. your post is very general for any hosted server (rsps or not), vscape is different so I'll make these clarifications/corrections. you are not entirely wrong however.

The biggest turnoff i see for vscape, outside rsps stigma, is the 2.25x xp rate (hcim exists) and custom content (all cosmetics). I wish we had a 1x mode for normal accounts, but mods think that would break the balance of the game.

Despite being the most 2007 server out there, the game will never be like it was in 2007 due to less players, so we don't have Varrock W1 or alive wilderness for example. As seen early with 2004scape, these actually were active while there were tons of players online, so this is entirely a player count issue.

One other issue with limited players (and the result of no bots) is the distribution of tradables is not as expected compared to the original 2007 and release OSRS, so money making is generally laser focused on mats that are shit to get (pess, herblore 2ndaries), and you will most likely have to get your own mats otherwise. Also whips are 500k at max, which you can easly make with the money makers discussed.

Finally, if Jagex continued PJ Zanaris in a way that allowed for release OSRS to be playable, Vscape would be redundant (outside being free). Likewise, the server has a chance at getting DMCA'd.

processing becomes an issue because it takes time, take for example the blast furnace, but again this could be fixed by having a bank closer to it, so you can quickly process ore in bulk and then fill another role in for a friend.
the same could apply for boss encounters - requiring scaling and/or different mechanics when they're fought solo or in pairs or bigger groups. gives the encounter some more 'life' as well since the entity acknowledges you directly.

but all of that requires a single mind with a cohesive vision for the game, and not treating the game like a whore to be passed around, which is what it practically is.
you could even take leprechaun noting as an example - just give baskets and sacks an "empty-all" option so i can use them as intended for farming instead of fucking noting your crops if you're already arbitrarily adding 'qol' for fatasses that only grind slayer 24/7.

Yes. For the ranged form you can do two Rapid shots then immediately walk under, the timing is tighter but overall faster and still 1:1.
Can do the same at kree but riskier because he may melee you.

Supercompost is your friend, once you can get melons it's basically unlimited.
