This is an ongoing project from a group of anons dedicated to playing through dead MMOs.

The rules so far go as follows:

I tried Animyst, it's just a buggy sluggish survival "mmo" made in unity. Actually met another player some golden skeleton guy trying to grief the new player area by putting down exploding barrels while I was making the trek to the first City area. Interesting style but the actual gameplay was gathering reeds and the most clunky combat ever.

Making the poll private will make doing server research difficult. It took us until sunday evening to find a proper server so it could end up taking two days. Ideally by Wednesday before the vote ends the top three or so should be fairly entrenched which would help test anons with what they have to test. Doing server research for all 8 games on vote would be difficult and unlikely to happen.

So I did some reading on Age of Wushu on the official server and it sounds pretty bad. Some notes:

I did a bit of research on Rusty Hearts, turns out the server's not in beta at all. They have 2 server projects running, the confusingly named Rusty Hearts Revolution Reborn, and Rusty Hearts Revolution.

Reborn is old official server software that they host. It only works on older clients (clients from about a year before the game's shutdown) and has been heavily modified. This server is not in beta and is available to the public.
Revolution is a reverse-engineering effort that's trying to make whole new server software for the game, as they find the official software limiting. It's in closed beta and is not available to the public.
If we were to play Rusty Hearts, we'd play on the open Reborn server.

As for the game itself, it's an instanced beat-em-up with 4-player parties. Doesn't look like you can create a character, only select an existing one from nine to play as. Only four unique movesets, though.

I don't think the mmoventure will enjoy Conan, it's very solo main quest gated, you can't leave the starter island without finishing the singleplayer scenario questline, then the rest of the game is quest after quest. Grinding isn't a thing.

I played recently, if you "skip" you are locked out of the progression quests, the server also has only 20 people max. Its not 70% group content, its more like 30% group quests. Very few at all. Last I played half the dungeons were broken because there are no devs left to unfuck the scripted sequencing that is not working.

From what I gather the game was always kinda fucky... One of the dungeons involves party members standing on plates to stop flame walls from erupting, but all of a sudden one button stopped working. Another dungeon would spawn 100 dog mobs when a boss used his call Ally commands. I also heard from the diehards on the server that sometimes a boss would just become invincible for no reason, until the CM intern came in and flipped a switch a month later.

I think you can get to level 40 in even a single day now that we know what to do. Most of the people who are active now are around 50, so I don't think you'd be left out.
However, there aren't that many people playing, and at times you may find yourself alone. If you try to get into it now, I'd suggest choosing a damage dealer class, since it seems like the best when playing solo solo, plus we already have support and tank players.
Keep in mind there isn't much to do in this game other than grind.

It was an attempt at a browser-based WoW-esque casual mmorpg featuring only furry/fictional race options in a post-apocalyptic Earth where magic and mythical gods came back to reclaim what was formerly their world before the humans arose. It was developed by Iron Realms Entertainment, the company majorly known for text-based MUD mmos, which may explain why this was attempted as furries tend to gravitate towards those MUD games. It failed so hard it got bought by a Japanese publisher and tried to make the character designs look more like kemono/anime furries. Naturally, this didn't last a year and the game was officially dead around the end of 2011.

The issue is always the exchange rate. It could be that you need millions for one cash shop coin and we can make 10k a day starting out. It looks cute, you find new gear easily and it's fancy enough to act as cosmetics, including things like angel wings or bear masks.
You level up super quickly, but the max level is also very high, so it feels good, without being excessive.
I noticed one of my passives says its effect increases by having more people in the party, so it seems like the game might be party-oriented.
Some of the music tracks are incredible, like Trevia Valley's.

On the other hand, the chat filter is extremely obnoxious, filtering your entire sentence for containing very common combinations of letters, like "tai", "gai" or "ass", so you can't say things like "obtain", "gain", "assume", etc. or else the WHOLE sentence is censored. There also seems to be an anti-bot system that will trigger even when playing normally, asking you to complete a captcha of sorts (and I assume disconnect you, at the very least, if you fail).

I bet this game would've been great on a proper private server, but sadly, that's not an option. Still, may turn out to be alright nonetheless.

In Elim next to Radix (NPC who teaches you about refining as one of the quests) is an npc called Administrator who gives you quests for reaching a certain level/rep. You can get good weapons by doing those quests so make sure to pick those up if you haven't.

It says 25 level range for kill credit but I noticed that xp on hit was gone once the mob was 20+ levels below you. Still get the on kill bonus if you're in an each speed party.

I'm not sure if the game uses that font anymore. I found a news post from 2023 that talked about an updated font and the game ships with a bunch of fonts in its folder. You can try installing those into your windows fonts to see if it helps.
