Paper already has released it's first Release candidate API for 1.21.6. There's a few things to wait for. Primarily, a stable paper binary for 1.21.6 being released and for the essential server plugins (e.g coreprotect) to provide full 1.21.6 support. The good thing is that the plugins I've coded already work on 1.21.6 as is since there's no API changes for the functions I call on.

So, paper has released a stable 1.21.6 build, so expect the server to upgrade to it soon. I'll be expanding the nether border (+ resetting some chunks there). Might trim the end dimension with a different structure seed as well since end cities have been very sparse with the current seed.

The player base is pretty chill and griefers are regularly hunted down by the regulars and banned. There's a few annoying people here and there but it's mostly in chat, they get muted at times so it's fine.

Jeremy , Whevs, and I have been working on finishing up Pumpchy's train station at spawn ever since Pumpchy quit. A lot of progress has been made so far, we expect to have it finished by tomorrow. I will repurpose the underground station and make a subway that connects a good amount of the map together but that will take a while. Terraforming will be done at a later date once we're done with the actual build.

I'm talking about server performance, not player retention, which is a different aspect controlled by different factors altogether. I'm gonna go ahead and say there's no correlation between server resets and player retention. resetting is just an event and does not necessarily retains any players: why would the players that want a fresh world even stay if by definition they will always prefer fresh starts? by wiping the map many multiplayer strengths get shunned like having lore, long-standing communities and ancient player builds. what killed vcraft was the incompetence of the admin team, not deleting all that was built to that point as you suggest. Pvp is enabled but the jannies won't let people nig your shit. There are no protection plugins either although there's a rollback system in place for items and builds. The server is pretty friendly so I wouldn't worry about being a newfag. Worse that will happen is someone will kill you a few times once you join.

Thank you Kovay, mikusoles, wgp and Heavy_Halbard for helping me dig the first tunnel for the subway station under spawn. There's still a lot of work to be done and I'll be recruiting more people to help me. This subway station will utilize piston bolts so it will be a lot faster than the one on the old map. I'm planning to connect it to a bunch of stops around the map.

It's a mostly vanilla server. There's not any protection plugins but there's coreprotect to rollback griefs and a system in place to rollback inventories as well. Griefers are hunted down and banned so you'll be fine. There's a plugin for individualized loot in loot-chests and I think wandering traders have some extra stuff ((they sell trims here for example)

No, they have access to coreprotect. Basically 1984 when it comes to griefs/items. They can track down any lost/stolen item and can rollback anything. They are also able to figure out who griefed what and punish them appropriately whilst at the same time restoring the build to its original condition. I believe I mentioned this before during a conversation with sinope that I do not want to have the same problem that /v/craft has with its own world. I believe /v/craft's border (32k x 32k) is way too big for a server of that size. For me, the sweet spot is 10k x 10k, I would never go over that. I think incremental small expansions whenever necessary and major ones for updates are the way to go forward.
