It didn't feel like a problem to be honest, being limited to just one girder and 1 weapon a turn and with only 30 seconds doesn't give you too much movement to retreat to a good position unless you wan to spend one of your precious 2 ropes. The only thing problem I see with it is that you can purposedly abuse the turn so SD comes sooner, but i'm still testing different lengths.

I have not abandoned you (completely), I'd probably still host long sessions if I had the time, but I must work for mister shekelberg Mon-Thu 8AM-6PM and Fridays till 3PM ET, by that time all Eurofriends are fast asleep. Add to that daily errands and whatnot and I really don't have much time to worme, especially when I *need* to play at least 1 board game daily.

I could schedule a specific day and time to play that could keep the thread nice and lively BUT you must repay me in my daily intake of cardboard if you know what I mean.

It's been so long and I've neglected the little worms for so long, idk if I'll make another thread if this one die; but I know Worms will crawl back to the surface, as it has done previously.

Dug up an old Worms3D torrent that was still functioning (although archive.org also has copies). Gonna see if I can get it running with 1080p resolutions and share it for multiplayer hostings and playings. I tried doing this two years ago but the old nocd I had did not allow for adjusting resolution. Come to think of it, maybe all I needed to do was create a shortcut and add -height and -width values. Anyway, will report back. Peep this old ass setup.

It does, but the copy I have has it already. Problem is I've run into a hurdle I didn't last time. The crack I have does allow for 1080p (and I'm assuming higher) resolutions, but Worms 3D, when launched from the bespoke cracked launcher, will not start. When using the cracked Worms3D.exe, the game will start, black screen, and instantly crash to desktop. I'm going to install another copy right now I found on the internet.

The archive.org version is in Polish and I'm not interested in playing in Polish, sorry to any polacks here.

A small but not small technical issue. Worms 3D, when in full screen, takes complete priority over everything but the taskbar. You can alt+tab or Windows key to the taskbar, but all roads lead back to Worms 3D.

FPS and full screen issues, along with no multiplayer testing aside, game is 100% playable.

This second link contains both CD ISOs for installing yourself via virtual mounting, and a cracked Launcher and Worms3D.exe. I'm including this because I'm not sure if, to play multiplayer, one needs Gamespy installed. It's likely modern players just need something like Hamachi, but you never can be too careful.

Crack instructions:
Place "Launcher" in the Worms 3D parent folder which contains other folders like bin, data, etc. Place "Worms3D.exe" in the bin folder.

Just fucking hit alt+enter which used to be every game and video player's go-to for toggling full screen on and off, then turn on Borderless Gaming and add Worms 3D to the list. Not sure how OpenSpy works, but we use that with Crysis 2 and 3 multiplayer matches. So I can't see why it shouldn't be worth a look. Forts has a GOG release. So I'm not sure why they haven't given 3D a GOG release either.

I've never used Gameranger for Worms, but it seems limited as far as stage select from this menu. I'm going to keep a room up for a while, called Warms, and the password is rage.
