As an Assault. Spec Commando, is it even worth having two loadouts for Single Target and AoE? Standard enemies die too quick and strongs usually die having half of a rotation thrown at them. Only level 40 right now. Is there a way to make macros or are there shortcuts to hotswap loadouts so I don't have to open the menu each time?

Listening on 2x speed so you don't have to, I think he's wrong about the writing being initially some work of genius, because 90% of the class stories are good or middling. He also had some weird cuts in his interviews where it felt like people were going to say "on the other hand," but it didn't fit his narrative. 4/10 video you're not missing much.

say what you will about Swtorista as a person, I don't know the lore behind her and i've never met her in person. Maybe she is a huge bitch. Maybe the accusations are from angry virgins or rival CCs. Her website, however, is toptier. I don't know if she made it herself or paid someone else to make it, but it's a really good source for literally anything SWTOR related.

After learning about how the story goes from class stories to bottlenecking down to one, I expected my main would be the Inquisitor. I was thinking it'd have sith politics, maybe some stuff about hunting down traitors or non-believers, being a corruptive/redemptive influence on impressionable characters, that kind of thing.
Turns out, Inquisitor had more Scooby-doo hijinks, like tricking a cult into thinking I could cause earthquakes, or hunting down ghosts. The Warrior ended up having all of the backstabbing, Ashara's thing was one note and I just blasted her with lightning, which apparently worked. Jaesa had a full-on campaign designed to mentally break her.
It helps that Baras was a great antagonist.
I guess I'm a Warrior main now. How's the story after the class missions?

The stories post clas content is objectively worse however they're enjoyable if you switch your brain off and just enjoy it for what it is. Both Sith Warrior and Jedi Knight make the most sense because they both have a connection to the Emperor who appears in them. The others make less sense.

I finished the smuggler's class story, and I have to say, I had fun just bumbling my way up the criminal ladder. There's something beautiful about being able to play a low iq tic-tac-toe enjoyer who develops such an insane reputation that everyone I met thought I was playing 5d chess all along. Reminded me a little of a Fallout New Vegas playthrough.

Bounty Hunter finished. It was ok. Probably my least favourite so far but I thought the cast was fun though I hated Skadge. Bounty Hunter had good dialogue but the story just felt eh.

I like that BH remains a badass and you can even tell Darth Tormen to go fuck himself at the end. Unlike some of the other classes where you can get chewed out by superiors no matter what you accomplish.
Skadge was indeed a miss and Gault should've been recruitable in a different way, but it's made up for by Blizz who is S tier.

Pearlescent green plus metallic gold. The green/gold works really well with the red glow effects from the dread seed, but there are less expensive combinations that work great. I also listed the wrong hands, that was from Chaotic Force Master in the preview (though I used Fractured Force-Lord's Gloves Mk2 that I just happened to grab while leveling).

F2P makes you miss out on a lot of customisation and also makes the more MMO aspects of the game a lot less enjoyable. But if you want to play through the class stories, do the planet missions, and overall just play around as if it was a normal Kotor game, you'll have a good time and probably won't even notice that there is a subscription.
I'd say F2P SWTOR is like playing an old Pokémon game on an emulator. You might get locked out of a few trade exclusives, you see every now and then areas originally intended for multiplayer, but you know you can't do any of that. Player making my way through class stories, so grain of salt. Monetization is based on subscription for convenience, then "microtransactions" for cosmetics. They're about to add some QoL updates if you want to be f2p, so you might want to wait until later this month.
Scaling feels a little weird, but the way I think it works is that you're brought down to the level of the current planet, and your overall strength then depends on how well your gear level matches your actual level. Having BiS for your current level seems to make you actively stronger. Don't expect to just mow things over, and as far as I can tell there aren't prestige levels. My suggestion is to run a stealth class as your second combat style so you can just skip stuff.
They have a galactic seasons system that rewards you with cosmetics/currencies for completing tasks, and it looks like each season has a theme. They tend to have objectives relating to older planets and content from what I can tell. We're between seasons though.

Yeah. You can get one of the other four combat styles for your group. So, Sith Inquisitor could choose between the Assassin and Sorcerer (or something like that), now they can choose 2 of the four force using classes (Assassin/Sorcerer/Marauder, Juggernaut). Then, if your alignment is right, you can switch to the lightside mirror class or something at some point.
Tech classes have the same thing within their branches.
You have to switch between the classes via loadout, so you're not able to use all of the Assassin and Sorc (for example) abilities at the same time, so it's a little like FFXIV classes, except that your level is shared.

Mostly chill on Malgus, there are few regular turbosweats (even a few premades now and then, even the american premade) that single-handedly win the whole match sometimes, I would say most players are completely clueless and some even afk/not trying just wanting the weekly/daily/season objective done. While it's easy to farm for upgrades, it's awful to start playing when you have no upgrades and fully upgraded ships oneshot you and you don't even get through their shield. I think its pretty fun though sometimes

Yeah they are, especially the new ones. Ahsoka and Hondo look awful, too many characters at high relics and event characters too. I've only got Rey, Kylo Ren and Sith Emperor Palps but the rest look daunting. Currently farming my Malgus Sith team as I keep getting crushed in grand arena. At least it's all doable free, it just takes a long grind.

Smuggler has by far my favorite companions of any story. The worst is Corso but at least he is fun to bully. Thought I'd hate Akaavi but she is rather sweet under that armor.
Agent is the better story but he companions are all godawful with the exception of Scorpio but the most interesting Scorp moments happen after the main story anyway.
