It's extra high in cs because a team usually improves by replacing a player and getting a new player with better stats.
For example, in dota it's completely different: basically every team is grass roots origin (the players themselves choose to get together and compete and then they get sponsored after having results). It's also much harder to quantify how good a player is by game stats. So the entire buying/selling contracts business basically doesn't exist at all. This also means there isn't the same incentive to lure players into contracts with high salaries. From the numbers I've seen cs players has something like 5x larger salaries.
