best grind is probably volleyball at 300/hr if you do it with the npc and no one bothers you
you can keep playing after it closes as long as you don't let the ball drop so you can go infinite

there are also mounts for 600 faded sea shells (3x seashell each in exchange) that are 125%

both are actually chains that take you to the same place, but the second is a chain of all quests marked "side" and unimportant
if you don't finish one of these chains like if your quest log is full or you skip/discard it during the chain
you will miss out on like 3 zones
and you will get quests that tell you to get a quest that doesn't exist on an npc
and important dailies in zones you can't get to
what is the point of having the labels on the quests if they are wrong?

it was a big mainstat upgrade but secondary stats went from 69 to 20
i went into an instance quest and it was a huge downgrade, like half of my damage and barely any more hp or anything

i did another allod this time current tier (which I don't have the gs for)
it gave me a temp buff to boost me to min gear level
first part just had quests and trash mobs, start doing them
one is sets of zombies, when they die they drop a puddle that gives a stacking damage up to the other zombies and heals them for 10% of their hp every .3 seconds
the merc tank obviously does not care
after he dies I can normally tank/kite one or two more down
have to kill 15 of them
if I tell the tank to flee everyone else stops attacking/healing too
end up mostly kiting and soloing them
but if you kite them too long? too far? they explode and do a million damage
next set of monsters, just skeletons, they don't do anything
next set of monsters skeletons that charge and casters
i can't tank a single one of the spells from the casters
they are patrolling around an area with a bunch of other monsters
have to wait to pull, sleep a caster, have the tank get aggro, make him flee, get aggro for a second, flee again to get a place away from the patrols
find a spot and kill at least the caster and hopefully the next one when it wakes up
takes multiple pulls per pack because of either kiting too far or blowing up or pulling aggro on the casters
other mob (solo) walking around gets a 500% damage bufff but is slowed to 20%
guess what the tank will not do
even if I tell him to flee immediately he is low hp
healer will not heal while they are fleeing
tank dies instantly when you tell him to stop fleeing most of the time
have to guess before hand when it is coming and pre-flee/kite
need lots of room for all of this to avoid the patrols, plus them blowing up if you go too far
after dozens of deaths we have cleared the quests, gotten no loot, fought 0 bosses
it has been 1 hour

run around the island and there are only trash mobs
talk to the npc and he teleports me to an empty city
find a boss there
10 seconds into the fight boss starts channeling something on me that gives me a debuff
i mouseover the buff and i'm dead before I can even read it
a few pulls and I figure out the basics, but the tank just randomly dies
more pulls, tank still dying, still don't understand
more pulls, got the boss to 30%, tank still dying, still don't understand
somehow he miraculously doesn't get overlapped by bunches of charges and beamss and balls that are everywhere and the boss dies
go back and get to next boss
still die a few times, but mostly it seemed legible and the mistakes were easy to correct
sometimes I would blink, which gives me a button to where my clone was for 10 seconds (context action)
and there is also another thing that you use context actions for in the fight for a mechanic
i go to do that one mechanic, but because I blinked recently it was on a different context action than i'm used to (keep in mind the mercs give you like 4 that randomly move around too)
end up dying because I blinked back and couldn't get back in time
also die to mercs putting aoes in the only safe spots to survive another mechanic but it goes ok
last boss, get him to 30% first pull
all of the mechanics mostly looked readable
one of the things has been puddles on the floor that I just avoided
then the boss sucked me into one of them and I learned they do 280k a tick and died instantly
work around it with a lot of tank positionng by flee spamming
which means the other mercs stop attacking
and I have to stop attacking or a pull aggro
takes a few more attempts and it very slow but kill him
end up with 3 pieces of t1 gear and 17 enchanted shards (turn into 128-256 of a thing needed to make t2 gear with each needing 8800 pieces)
this used 15 or so of my 700 astral keys (14/day, have 700 because it gave me 14/day for everyday the season has been going so far)

so if you use the cheap hammer it takes 1237 keys for full t2?
you can farm this materials without keys in the last tier dungeon too, or use a better hammer to half it
i feel like i'm missing something
they don't sell keys, but they do sell the midtier hammer (192 a shard)
i think you get like 10 shards (lower tier) when you run the old one without shards, but that takes more hammers (gold, crafted, from vendors for pvp tokens and shit, or cashshop)

oh it is 8800 for 2h weapons and 4400 for all other pieces
assuming you use the midtier hammer (craftable, cashsop) that is still 412 keys
each t3 upgrade needs 5080 materials (that are this material+more shit) each so we are back to 1000+ keys for full t3 unless you get most of your enchanted shards from old content or there is some place to get it i'm missing

that then meant I need to get 4400 enchanted material
i used the hammer I got from the coupon
that regressed the quest because I don't have a universal hammer anymore
so to complete the quest I have to buy one from the cash shop : ^ )

that way you get at least one real body

one group was speedrunning the whole thing in 5 minutes and would kill a boss before I even got to it because they had level 50 mounts that teleport and shit
in a few dozen runs there was one time someone got pissy and they tried to vote kick me and the other dude said no
full t1 finally and halfway to the mats for t2 but I don't have enough gold for that
i should level a profession but you can't get drops from mobs and you need level specific ingredients so thats kinda hard
you can transform high level stuff into low level stuff but still it is way harder to farm 100+ mobs at 110 than it is level 10 mobs at level 20
seems a mistake to not level it up as you go

someone gave me 5000 ectoplasm and it + 100k gold or something was enough to get to 110 leatherworking
oh and also like 20 of each of the rare crafting mat chests
it starts taking multiple threads that cost 760g each for a while
but once you get over a small hump of that it was just pure raw leather refining (free if you have the leather)
also I was wrong about the non-key allod giving a useful material, it gives enchanted shards (fabled) which is for last tier's shit
only way I see getting t3 is having a guild so you can get raid boxes + then the best hammers from the guild activity
weapons need 5 (or 10) workpieces that only drop there
you can 7:1 the other workpieces, but not the weapon ones because fuck you
you can 10:1 them and only with the other one that only drops in raid too
they are 2.5m each on the AH pay up
asked some people how to farm gold

you can craft 7 (or 8, 9, 10 if you get lucky) for 10 hammer designs (i got about 90 doing 500 keys) + 13 of a npc mat that is 2228g
so making your own hammer is ~4200 per hammer vs 8000 on the ah
and you need like 1000 of them
the designs are untradable but there is a chip exchange with them, but you would probably rather spend that on amalgum
you can get some from other currencies, but that is probably better spent on t3 workpieces or something
so maybe I'm wrong and this isn't worthwhile at all

i can't really get more gear without gold and there isn't a good way to get gold (other than making a bunch of characters)
i was selling seashell gifts for 6000-8000g each at the start of august but there are a lot of people selling them now and not a lot of buyers
even if I get all of the gold for t2 I then need to grind a million dailies for dragon equipment and upgrade mats
the dungeons are ok-ish but are a complete joke when you pay money
the p2p server sounds better, but i don't want to relevel and even then the dungeons/raids aren't worth playing for
i don't see the appeal other than people that love having chores and long grinds for things
and people that love destroying people in pvp because they paid money
