The subverting the AI as a greyshitter is pretty bad but I wouldn't say it's banworthy on its own, neither is lubing up the brig.
It's the combination of one-humaning and lubing brig thus making oneself valid while there's an AI that only has to protect the one human (and end up de-facto purged if said human dies) while a vampire is running loose racking up kills and collecting thralls that makes this entire situation egregious. That's a fairly large amount of greyshittery for one person in one round, and I think doing something that could result in a purged AI is essentially self-antagging itself since that person created a situation where the AI is free to kill everyone or whatever. Whoever in the forum thread said it was like Leon's situation is correct - chain slipping the captain wouldn't be banworthy normally despite being shitter behavior, but when doing so helps an antag then it's basically self-antagging, especially if said person has a history of such offenses. This whole ordeal just created a situation for security that gave the antag a huge advantage while there was no good IC reason for it other than being a greytider.
I think greytiding can be a good thing for slow rounds because it creates situations when there wouldn't normally be any but doing it to this extent when there's already a confirmed active antag is overdoing it. An assistant job ban that lasts for a couple of weeks or so would be fair.

Quick advice for resource jobs like engineering, mining, and botany. It's often better to put out your basics before going all in autism max. Plant some normal carrots before you complete your omniplant of 23 harvest, make sure the SMESes are putting out power before your autism engine, and bring back some usable ores before taking the time to mine the whole asteroid. What I dislike about it is that it feels rather empty unless you get into high pop due to how distributed the station is. Ontop of that several departments are setup poorly or are missing some equipment. Finally, the map is poorly optimized because the game just lags out for 3 seconds whenever you transition to the outside.

If the thread doesn't make it obvious this isn't a casual game you can dip in and out of. This is an incestuous glorified chat room with a small core of hyper autists that have been playing the same game for years with the same people, and when not in a game spending all day on forums or Steam or Discord or whatever fotd(ecade) chat engine will take over next. To help relieve some of the lowpop issues, I personally think solars should be set up roundstart, at least for the specifically lowpop maps, so the station always has some power.
- It doesn't make sense IC that the lowest effort and lowest risk source of power wouldn't already be set up at the start of the shift other than Nanotrasen being that fucking cheap. Usually it's just placing some wires then pushing some buttons on a console. NT being unable to do that when building the station or in previous station shifts just feels absurd.
- It doesn't make much of a difference OOC/meta if solars start already set up because they don't make enough power to invalidate the other engines. Bored engis/MoMMIs will set up solars at some point anyways even if the engine of choice is still making enough power. If more people start using/building equipment on the station then there will be a need for a real engine setup but otherwise there shouldn't be an issue on lowpop.

Having tracking for solars automatically set up at roundstart could be a difficult code issue (or maybe not, it could just be as simple as calling a verb/proc at roundstart) but having solars wired at roundstart is a simple mapping issue that could be done in 5 minutes. Even non-tracking solars should be able to keep the airlocks working on most of the station.

I think the biggest reason start to punish others (like the admin team is exhibiting), is that they feel they have no voice, and they FEAR speaking their voice.

You need more people that have no ego, people that are actually active, people that want to make the gameplay overall more enjoyable.

You cannot have that with someone that is afraid to have hard conversations, they will slowly over time isolate away from the action and dish out bans when something happens that reminds them of bad behavior they've observed.
