Going by gameplay would suggest onions are mostly a Cyrodillic food since they only appear as an ingredient in Oblivion. But gameplay also suggests no one there owns polearms (other than Hircine's statue) and even the foulest criminals politely obeyed the levitation ban to the point of destroying every single scroll, potion, and enchanted item with the effect so that's probably not actually the case.

Not sure what I'm getting into or if I'll quit in 2 hours, but can I just ignore loot in this game while I'm questing? How do I make Arcanist good for PvP? My main charcater is an Arcanist. I would like to try it in PvP but I can't come up with a good build. Ive never done it myself, but watched a couple of guides. Based on those, i can tell you for sure its a tedious grind and takes a ton of time to make any real money, not to mention the restrictions on selling stolen goods.

Yeah I would love that. Honestly anything substantial that doesn't feel like a low hanging fruit or reskin. It seems like their past two "major" things were skill crafting and the class skill line mixing. Both of which felt like they were low investment? Skill crafting felt really safe and a lot of the abilities just felt uninteresting. There's a couple that were cool, but maybe my hype was too high. But I was expecting more. Especially from the whole skill animation changes aspect of that update too. Just doing recolors of exisiting skills...again I was hoping for something more haha.

Trait lines situation I think was a step in the right direction in terms of success for the game. And it can be done well I feel. Gw1 did a pretty good job at making it fun. At the end of the day its just balance. But it also felt like it was low investment. At least on the surface. Like if we were to say how would it compare to a new class, it "feels" like it took less work to do than a whole new class.

Arcanist's Herald of the Tome skill line is the best skill line for damage dealers in pve. It's getting nerfed a bit next patch though it will still be the best I believe.
Races aren't important outside of min-maxxing and even then it's a very small difference.
The one bad thing about Arcanist is that it is really bad in pvp

I will scour the entire eso community to build the optimal build.

Right now your best bet is building a round Tentacular Dread with frost stuff. Or if you don't really care about the Arc aesthetic, you take the meta pvp skill lines and slot them into your Arc. Skill lines such Storm Calling and Assassination.

Is Herald of the Tome + Assassination + Daedric Summoning a good combo of subclasses to use?

People use it, but the times can vary a lot. The internet fed you some bullshit, nothing in spindleclutch is good for dps and there's no pledge/mask drops for it at the moment so a longer wait is kind of expected there.
