to add to that, new roads are being paved. There's going to be a new unified trading hall (meaning the old one is scheduled for destruction once the new one is done). There's now a lot more land at spawn to build in and its being organized a lot better. Fermoy has also been hit with eminent domain after the playerbase realized that a certain someone was claiming that 95% of spawn was under his domain (untrue, especially for a town with zero players).

Either the data center is having issues with their network as a whole or somewhere along the line in the connection there's some packet loss beyond my control. I make most of my stuff in a creative world first before making anything big enough to worry about it being wiped based on how much time I spent building it, that way if the map does get renewed then I still have what I built to rebuild if necessary anywhere else. If I'm to go down the firewall route then the obvious solution is to allow certain CIDR Ranges. ISPs usually utilize IPs from allocated CIDR blocks they've been given from their local registry. Those IPs usually are from the same CIDR range and any time DHCP assigns you a new IP it is usually from the same CIDR range. Due to the global IPv4 Shortage and India's population size almost all their ISPs utilize CGNAT so public IPs are shared between multiple individuals. The main caveat to whitelisting CIDR ranges is that you also whitelist thousands of other users (in this case, Oskar's pajeet neighbors). What I want to do instead is update my custom ban plugin (yes the server has its own unique ban plugin) to include Geo IP Blocking. This is pretty easy to actually do, the main idea is to download MaxMind's Geo IP database which is a massive database containing blocks of IPs and the country/city they're registered under. Now once a player logs in, we can query their IP against the database to retrieve that information, in this case their country. If the country is in the blacklist then we simply prevent the connection. To add to this, we can also whitelist per account here by simply skipping this check if the account is whitelisted.

Also please don't go far banning countries you don't like, just like in the case of Oskar, there are some people who deserve to play, regardless of their origin, you adding a function to to include Geo IP Blocking in your plugin might give your temper an easy chance to block a whole country, because of 1 guy, and your head will probably find a reason to use it since you spent time coding it, This is the slippery slope of how many Admins, slowly destroy their servers, and makes everyone in it uncomfortable/anxious when you are around.

Regardless India is understandable, but focus more on adding fun features, and in trouble just ban specific players.

I wouldn't worry actually, even with VPN bans I almost never use them unless we're being raided (e.g when the sharty kids were raiding us, I temporarily blocked a bunch of IP ranges and ASNs to prevent them from connecting, I removed the blocks when they gave up).
