Honestly probably the real issue is that at this point ranks are entirely meaningless because there is probably a pool of 200 ranked players out of the 1,000 people still playing smite. Someone could be silver and actually be bronze 5 or be plat and be a top 500. Most people quit long before this point. It's like the old days playing on curse waiting an hour for a ladder match.

What I am trying to say is old pros or good players from the start of smite aren't good and there is no reason to get good in shite 2 because only smite prime exists that pays and it is 7000 dollars weekly split amongst 5 people and in game currency. So basically you have to win every single tournament to make like 1400 a week and at that point you might as well get some wagie job. When you think about it, Smite Rivals was the first Smite game that wasn't the original Smite, so technically it was the real Smite 2, then they made Hand of the gods, which was Smite 3, Smite Blitz was Smite 4, Paladins had Grover in it, so it's half a Smite, then Realm Royale was another half, making 5, Smite 2 was actually Smite 6, and with Divine Tactics we're really on Smite 7 by now.

I am Russian and I can tell you right now that most of the best players in mobas are Russian. I am a demigod (5k sr) level player and in multiple amateur leagues for smite 2. Was GM in smite 1 too. If you can't mid or jg. Try ADC its actually somewhat decent now thanks to the new riptalon item. You can try solo too but its harder to carry from that role.

It used to be that 20% of the playerbase just stuck with Smite over Shi2, but Shi2's been hemorrhaging so many players that at this point it's about a 1/3rd of Smite's overall playerbase is on Smite 1 despite it not getting any new content in over a year now.

Cuckquest is still on a very shitty beta map (and will stay that way until next year), Arena + Joust/Duel are there (Arena is the same, Joust is now Arthurian), Assault is extremely barebones on the Cuckquest map. Siege / Clash / Slash are all gone as well as the party modes.
Half the godtoons aren't in yet, and half of the ones that are in are functionally unrecognisable.

Be more confident. You don't ask, you take, and in exchange you hand them kills on a platter (it's on them if they ignore the setup). Don't forget that if you feel like you're lingering too much and want to leave, you can drop by Solo for an extremely quick gank before backing ASAP if the opportunity is there (especially if Blue is coming up and Jungler can't confirm it for whatever reason, your Solo should appreciate it), or just tail Junglel if they want to go deep into enemy territory (especially to delete an enemy buff camp). This is not true at all hunters suck ass right now spectral is broken, nemean is broken. Lash is still broken regrowth striders are broken and a full built tank is sitting on 5k HP. Hunters are relegated to being obj burning bots now the whole 1v1 aspect between hunters is completely gone and you always get killed by an assassin 1v1 as well. Go look at any high MMR match and you will see hunters do less damage than a mage. I'm seriously frustrated with this I don't like the design philosophy at all.

In my mind what makes a good MOBA game is fulfilling the fantasy of the archetype. A Mage that has a guaranteed multihit obviously WANTS to build on hit items because that makes sense with the fantasy. It feels very punishing to think of builds while itemizing in SMITE. It's not fulfilling the promise of an archetype.

I don't know maybe you need to rework items again or have them be something else. I really really dislike it when there's options to choose from but the option that makes sense has a hidden nerf behind it. Like you've been doing this with everything and the problem is rooted in mathematical multiplication always. A god that attacks fast is strong with an on every hit item so you nerf that God to not be good with the item. So then what is the fantasy build of that god?

It feels very bad to build into the gimmick of the God only to find out you've nerfed the gimmick. There are loads of examples of this. And you could obviously apply this nerf philosophy on multiplications to a plentiful amount of Gods is a ton of different ways.

Imagine if the nerf to Thoth was that his magic power decreases with range. On the fucking God that is supposed to be fulfilling that fantasy. This is not a strawman argument It's an illustration of a philosophy that nerfs a characters identity.
