In the mainline, retail RS2 that peescape is based on, GWD came out end of August 2007 >>1940876 and thus that is the original release date.
GWD says released in 2013 on the OSRS wiki because it was present in the game files backup they launched OSRS from, which was dated about mid August but unfinished content, so it took them a few months to make it good, and they added some additional content like Armadyl crossbow from 2012 RS3 and the Staff of the Dead that they ran a player poll for.

from all the content ive done on the server so far the amount of really gamebreaking bugs is next to zero, and even then you'd need to do something really specific, like accidentally clicking on a werewolf before initiating a cutscene in canifis during desert treasure that cuts dialogue out and gets you stuck in the cutscene until you log out and presumably die if you're not geared up

it's also a bit difficult to retroactively test things if you completed the quests a while ago and are doing other things
and as with anything jagex, things break as you update the game somehow and i'd imagine the cross-interactions don't make much sense. like osrs managing to break slayer so you get assigned tasks you don't have the required level for.

lastly, if you check both highscores and the github for issues, you could probably find a few new players who do report bugs.

i like the 2012scape's dev definition of qol as anything that saves pointless clicks, beside other ported features like higher tier logs making more arrow shafts per log.

i can't tell what the goal/where the line is with this server in terms of potential additions that are custom/out of scope for it's time, though, seeing other changes for minigames that have smaller costs/higher rewards or features like the tool leprechaun noting crops that weren't in the game at the time period this server is supposedly trying to adhere to, let alone the other client changes like being able to rotate the camera with the middle mouse button, or picking one from two gameframes, npc/object models.

i could probably understand some of them are for the sake of accessibility - keep the content the same, but rework/change things that seem major enough (BA bugs) - but with others it seems the line gets too blurry, or someone doesn't care and wants to have it their own way.

it depends on the stack. the top line air orbs and runite, prolly about a year. i've been running orbs pretty casually the last few days, which added about 3-4k air orbs to the stack, but it depleted a chunk of cosmics (before this screenshot, i had about 20k).

hamhouse has been selling off his massive glass stack so i bought 30k of them for 2 onyxes and 4m cash. that's about 2 months of buying chaos runes daily, with worlds. i'd previously bought 5k seaweed from another player because you only get 80 daily compared to 84 sand.

pess is easy enough to come by and i typically pay 400 ea or scoop it off some noob offering 300-350. same thing with cosmics, i usually craft my own but will buy a stack if one pops up. someone was selling 4k cosmics for cheap recently so i grabbed em.

so basically a year of grinding out various products while scooping up deals as they come. selling 20k air orbs for mats and cash was also a fantastic way to take profits while sustainably growing the stacks.

- little did he know, all he accomplished was scamming the same guy out of either 750k or 1250k worth of materials (i couldn't learn the truth), whose bank he cleaned out during a regrettable night of drunken degenerate stake gambling
- it was at this same event that he tried to haggle raltz out of giving back raltz' own money, and after which i told my boy to consider running air orbs for me to make some gp and achieve specific account goals, exclusively at his own convenience
- so now my transaction limit is 1k and i'm not holding collateral or even selling mats outright to start; not that quasar is even capable of expending his stack of 4k bstaves without my help (lol, lmao even)

when you deal with me, you know it's solid: 500k cash + 1k unpowered + 3k cosmics. not the fastest magic exp in the game, but it actually pays money unlike barraging monkeys. it's an open secret that i'll pay 500 per on request, and i can also offer molten glass if you want bonus craft exp. it's all in the flowchart: >>1989267

it's worth taking a minute to explore the precise cost breakdown of an air orb and the points of negotiation between players that market participants can exploit. basic start: 500k cash + 1k unpowered orbs = 3k cosmics = 1k air orbs.

i start from a 2300 alch price. i will not negotiate a pricing model based on selling to jimmy's because it's a net loss over alch-mining runite. i price cosmics at 300 ea because pess sells for 400 ea so 3 : 2 for cosmics, but they're infrequently sold in small amounts at 180-200 ea and are difficult to source in bulk from hamas. a major bargaining chip is proving you have the cosmics, and asking for say 750 gp ea and half as much pess.

the orb running itself is quite flexible and by far the most individual step of the flowchart. for me, it's a slow contract that until today was much more accessible. i personally aim for a 60 : 40 final profit split in my favor, the same as when i ran another player to 99 crafting, negotiated up to a price of 550 ea. i mention this frequently enough. i can also offer molten glass for free craft exp as a perk. i don't care if you do 1k orbs a month.

the raw mats are standard: 100 per sand, 150 per seaweed cuz it takes 5 clicks instead of 1, or 250 per pair. i turned down 4k sand at 150 ea today. glass is the same as pess if you deal in bulk (10k ea). astrals and nats are typically written off cuz you're fine with ~5k astrals total, and nats are buy-50 and not needed at jimmy's. same with bstaves, anyone charging more than 7.5k is retarded or jewish.

the air staves themselves can be offloaded 100 at a time for a quick 900k. that costs me 300 minus nat per, in exchange for not having to alch as much. they can go to jimmy's or whatever, it's not my time. it's all pretty simple and should prolly just be a wiki article.

in general, the bottom line crafting question is, "how much gp per exp does this cost?"
