No, Vscape is based off of Halloween 2007 RS2, not an OSRS fork. Meaning while they share the same parent, Vscape is more like the hot stepsister to incel OSRS.

In the mainline, retail RS2 that peescape is based on, GWD came out end of August 2007 >>1940876 and thus that is the original release date.
GWD says released in 2013 on the OSRS wiki because it was present in the game files backup they launched OSRS from, which was dated about mid August but unfinished content, so it took them a few months to make it good, and they added some additional content like Armadyl crossbow from 2012 RS3 and the Staff of the Dead that they ran a player poll for.

Sort of. In the beginning, OSRS didn't have much model editor or map editor tools, so they had to recolor or reskin existing items, like one-ofd quest items.
The one that won the poll was a variation of Necrovarus' staff from Ghosts Ahoy, but functionally it was based off the bladed Staff of Light from 2010 RS3 that had a rune saving feature.

If you report bugs in good faith and make an appreciable effort to understand it, you won't get banned by these power tripping boogeyman mods.

if you're talking about how the nature of runescape (without wiki) plays

it's just the same nature of IRL questing before the internet; mapping and city design were the only tools you had to find solutions. it's not that you know where to go, its checking out the few places it can be at

and if you do give up, you can just keep exploring other areas until you run into it eventually, after all, quests dont expire

from all the content ive done on the server so far the amount of really gamebreaking bugs is next to zero, and even then you'd need to do something really specific, like accidentally clicking on a werewolf before initiating a cutscene in canifis during desert treasure that cuts dialogue out and gets you stuck in the cutscene until you log out and presumably die if you're not geared up

it's also a bit difficult to retroactively test things if you completed the quests a while ago and are doing other things
and as with anything jagex, things break as you update the game somehow and i'd imagine the cross-interactions don't make much sense. like osrs managing to break slayer so you get assigned tasks you don't have the required level for.

lastly, if you check both highscores and the github for issues, you could probably find a few new players who do report bugs.
