This is an ongoing project from a group of anons dedicated to playing through dead MMOs.
>How does it work?
The rules so far go as follows:

if you click on GET icons on the character select/creation screens you can open the store and put in FAVOREDMEMORES
but if you put in any of the codes that give items (basically all but 100SLOTS) without first logging it it redeems them but errors out and you lose the items and you have to put in a support ticket to get them and their ticket time is weeks
so wait to do those until you are in game

Wrong again. It just gives you an error saying you need a character to receive the items.
I know because I made new accounts and put in the codes which prompted me to make a character. When I did I inputted the codes, without logging in first too, and it worked. I then logged in the character just to confirm if it worked and it did.

I tried LaTale a couple months back. This isn't true. It's still there, but they did add ways for players to get them. Usually from a daily dungeon or some shit. It would take a considerable amount of time for F2P players.
Pets are also still busted and a whole squad of them is impossible to get as a F2P player. Sure you could buy some in the auction house but since the game has been out for years and there hasn't really been a good money sink the prices are absurdly high.

If i'm not retarded and my calculations are correct, then that would mean we have a little over 4 (four) YEARS worth of games ahead of us. Adding 1-3 months to the runtime somewhere along the line so that some of us less fortunate anons could perhaps fix, or at least alleviate, our personal problems surely wouldn't hurt the project, right?

Hooking-up with existing Generals can potentially be fine, in the rare instance there's one already established on /vm/ for one of the games we're playing. But definitely double-check to make sure there aren't any schizos lurking in the background.
It's a massive pain to have some giga-autist(s) treating your game's thread like its their own personal Discord chatroom to vomit-out whatever comes off the top of their head, at the direct expense of anyone wanting to talk about the game in question.

Toram was added to the pending games list at a time where it had no real presence on 4chan.
there's currently no mechanic in place to suspend a game that becomes active through recurring threads or generals after it has entered the pending games.

I don't think some schizo threadstarting will be an issue as there are a bunch of ded game generals that become obvious with minimal inspection have no active playerbases. However it's not a good idea playing those aforementioned games for obv reasons. Some games on the list get small spurts of activity like Haven and Hearth which is still qualifiable imo as long as theres no active general.
Ideally the voting system should deal with these problems but everyone voted for Toram so so much for that kek.
Rule I'd suggest is ongoing general = 2 or more threads in sequence for games with active playerbases. If any games meet this, auto banish them before the next prelims vote.

I think I liked the idea of the MMOdventure more than the reality of it.

You just have to go on a case by case basis, most vm generals are dead with maybe a few people posting there once a day if that, just saying "it has a general already" is useless because a dead general for a dead game doesn't mean anything and potentially cockblocks good games even though there's zero chance of finding someone to play with there.
With that said add Wakfu to the list, the Ankama general is extremely dead and doesn't play it.
